Does anyone know why they did the same figures in series 44 as 36? Is there any difference besides the packaging. To bad they didn't do ring attire in one of these.

The pack was an unexpected huge seller and became impossible to find so Mattel re released it due to high demand.

It sold well. They'd like to sell more. Hence the re-release.

They only had 3 sets slotted for the series and they pack 4 per case. So its either pack 2 of the same figures or re-release a popular set from a recent series. They figured Outsiders would sell better than an extra set of Usos, Alpha, KO/Sami.

It sold well. They'd like to sell more. Hence the re-release. And we could name over a dozen other figures that could fit that bill... Would have been nice to had a ring gear variant, they already have parts to use!

Maybe they ought to make a Elite 2 pack with the cancelled Target nwo figures if these things sell so well.

Because they couldn't be bothered to design new figures. Laziness. Same reason for rerelease Brie and Warrior in B70

My Wal Mart still has at least 4 of the original release of these sitting on an endcap rotting the pegs.

You got to figure a ring gear set is coming because that would arguably sell even better.

Because they couldn't be bothered to design new figures. Laziness. Same reason for rerelease Brie and Warrior in B70 I wouldnt call it laziness. They needed to fill a spot in the case, its either pack another of the same the figure in the series or re-release someone from a previous series. Repaints cost money so they're not gonna do that just to add filler so that is why they do a straight re-release. Brie, Warrior, Sasha, Outsiders, etc must've have sold well during their initial release which is why they're the ones selected to be the filler. Its not like they're taking up a spot in the lineup. They're just being added to complete the case without having to double or triple up on a certain figure already in that series.

They're doing it for greater variety. I am not sure the algorithm for picking this pack to reissue, but variety is gonna be key to trying to reduce the number of disasters like Mizdow and Psycho Sid. That's why Elite 47 is two full-sized waves with different characters. They are trying to combat when dumbasses who order for stores like Walmart say "Give me two million cases of this one wave".

That reminds me, Battle Packs have become pretty sucky lately. Yup. 1) Warming pegs 2) More expensive than 2 separate basics 3) Accessory has been removed 4) (Mostly) poor character choices. Sucky indeed brah

I wish it would have been in wrestling gear with the headscans from that box set that got "cancelled" aka "we sent it to Australia for some reason".
A Nash all in Red like his Elite 16 figure, and a Scott Hall in black and red would have been pretty bad ass.
