Could the Elite 27 Rob Van Dam pass as a Flashback from his '01-'07 WWE run? Did he wear that attire then (or look any different!)?
And how about his 3 Basic figures/attires...? Thanks.

He wore some of the basic singlets in TNA but none of them in ECW or RA WWE. The white one passes as ECW tho imo

i know the elite 27 is from the return match on raw vs jericho in 2013, i dont think he ever worn that one before, but they all look similar with the dragons. rvd pretty much looked the same his entire career so not a big deal here imo

Yes. Rvd has looked the same for 20 years. He probably didn't wear that specific singlet but he wore similar ones.

What I don't get is why why don't have more Elites of RVD by now. That latest RSC mailbag interview just mentioned not being able to do the two belts (which doesn't make sense) They didn't say he's not under contract anymore, so maybe that's a positive? If he is, I really think he deserves another Elite or two

I've just been looking on Google Images and he definitely wore this attire back then: I think the Elite and other 2 Basics are current attires though(?) not being able to do the two belts (which doesn't make sense) RVD attire requires a lot of deco. Even if they did his most simplistic singlet, they still wouldn't be able to do that and include 2 VAC belts. Would have to be a DM or the rest of the figures of the Elite series would have to be filled with guys like Austin and Ambrose with no accessories.

Rob Van Dam has worn the same costume since 1997. Any RVD figure can represent any time period, really. Unless you are like super strict about singlet design...but he's worn some of his ECW singlets in WWE. The white one with the tiger on it from InVasion, he wore in both ECW and WWE. I think he wore the purple dragon one in both WWE and ECW, as well.
But really....any RVD is any RVD.

Same goes for the Mattel Dudleys. If you're talking about just the attire, then sure, its close enough. But those figures can not pass for Attitude. Bubba didn't have a full beard, that faded haircut, and all of those tattoos in Attitude. D'Von had less tattoos and wasn't bald. It'd be like taking current Goldberg and passing him off for Goldberg 2003.

And its not like they spent the entire budget for the series on Asuka's deco. KO came with brand new belt and table. AJ came with a hooded vest. Cesaro came with a towel, headphones, and shirt. Tatanka had some deco and came with a tomahawk and necklace. Bossman came with ninja mask, sunglasses, and nightstick. To get RVD with two belts and all the deco on his singlet, it would drain the budget for everything else in the series. You'd have to release him with Austin, Goldberg, Dean, Reigns, and Cena with little to no accessories.

I think these were all the differences(?)

Idk, I don't have her or do I want her. I believe she had to have a whole new body sculpt, etc., and her deco is somewhat comparable to RVD's. Regardless they could do it if they wanted to. Throw a Roman in there, which will sell with or without a barricade. Another shirtless Cena (like we've been getting👎🏻👎🏻) and a couple other plain figures and we have it. A definitive Rob Van Dam

Simple DM him, ONS attire, T Shirt, and both belts. And a better head sculpt.
