I've been a member of these boards in one way or another since the early 2000s. I just recently came across a few items that I thought you guys might enjoy looking at. Also, I understand this should technically go in the Jakks board but if it's okay to make an exception for this, I thought it would be nice if more people on a more active board got to see it. Anyway, I used to chat a lot with Ringside Jon on AIM a lot. For all you youngsters that's AOL Instant Messenger. In 2004 I got in on the Toyfair Ultimate Warrior craze even though I was 15 and had never seen a Warrior match. Jon got me hooked up with Warrior to buy one of the 12 from his personal collection. For $400 I got a signed figure with a COA letter and a signed 8x10. I asked Jon if for an extra $100 he would have Warrior call me on my house phone. It was scheduled for 5 minutes on the phone with Warrior. We ended up talking for almost half an hour. Also, when I sent out the money order to Warrior's PO box I also sent a Warrior page I had cut out of my Wrestlemania coffee table book and asked f he could sign that also. He did. Either way, the figure itself hasn't been taken care of perfectly over the last 13 years and has some blemishes and dings to show for it but I guess it is what it is. I'm not sure if this is worth any more than what I paid for it back then but either way, it's still a pretty cool piece of memorabilia. Hope you guys enjoy! Here's a photo album: imgur.com/a/6amJ2Edit: Also my mom had no idea about all this and the money I scrounged together was all mine from making customs and selling wrestling stuff on eBay. Just for the record.

I think I'd shed a tear if any looked worn like that lol I'd hyperventilate if my 1 of 15 was bashed lol

That's a really cool story. It's a shame the box got scuffed up
I hate to be a negative Nancy, but the actual figure itself sucks. Why on earth would any company make a WM7 Warrior, knowing full well they can't use Savage's likeness? Tying this into Mattel, why did they make a SS90 Rick Rude, knowing full well they didn't have Warrior under contract yet?

Valid point....i still think the jakks looks cool especially if you don't look at it as suppose to being event accurate but a unique look with wm7 inspirations.. For all the Rick Rude attires to pick from I don't know why they picked SS 90 without warrior on board

That figure is pretty sweet if you're not taking it as an exact replica.
Really cool story too man.

Valid point on the Rude Mattel figure, but the Jakks Warrior could have been a depiction of many events. See below for the funeral parlor segment. Macho isn't on the pads:

Why are all the pink parts orange? Mattel screws up purple, but not orange and pink.

Very cool story. For me the best part was that you got to talk to Warrior for 30 minutes. I can totally envision that as he was a super cool person who really loved his fans. When I met him in 2012 at an autograph signing the line went so slow because he really took the time to talk to every person in line. By far the coolest wrestler I ever met and I've met a lot.
