Honesty they might as well just ing do it this year. Have Roman, who pinned Taker clean earlier that night, come out after Brock beats Goldberg quickly, and challenge Brock. Roman wins and beats both Brock and Taker in one night at Wrestlemania They should just do it. They'll see what happens Lmfao. Wouldn't surprise me

For everyone who hates Reigns and want to see him fail this is what you need to do. If you attend a live event, do not boo him. Vince does not care if you boo. Booing is taken as a positive and not a negative. He feels if Roman is getting a reaction from you then he is doing his job. Silence is what will kill Reigns' push. Sit on your hands and give no reaction anytime Reigns is featured. In theory, this is awesome. But knowing WWE's backwards business model, they'll just spin this and promote that Reigns has the WWE Universe speechless and in awe...

Vince has been high on Reigns for awhile now so this isn't shocking in the slightest. You should have stopped at Vince has been high

Who is the solution though long term if its not Reigns? Think of guys that have got injured when WWE decided to give them a push. Reigns other than the emergency hernia surgery has been healthy and reliable.
Finn was given a giant push right out of the gate with beating Reigns and Rollins clean to win the title. Has to miss significant time.
Seth was given the biggest push right out of the gate when the shield splits. Has to go miss time because of a knee injury. Since got injured again.
Cesaro has the same injury as Finn has to miss time.
Cena basically is coming and going when he wants now.
Sami had basically same injury as Finn and Cesaro.
Daniel Bryan was the guy but had to get out because of injuries.
I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion but it's not like they haven't tried to give others a chance.
Yes I think it is extremely wrong the way they did Owens and Goldberg who is incapable of working a match obviously wiped the floor with him.
But realistically who are their options as top guys? AJ Styles imo is really THE GUY right now but he is almost 40. He's my favorite right now on the roster and I hope he is used to his potential but he is getting up there. IMO people they have right now that have shown to actually be durable that are young enough to be the future top guy are Reigns Owens and Ambrose.
If it comes down to things I would rather Reigns be that guy so that gets to carry the company. Do we really need guys like Goldberg Undertaker Sting HHH and other part timers to continue to come back because there is no one to carry the company. WWE has got to start building their own stars and quit letting their old timers and part timers be the top draws.

Would anyone honestly be surprised if he main evented next year again and gave Lesnar his final match before leaving? I certainly wouldn't. It's crazy that Reigns will be in his 3rd Mania main event but Punk never had one! Oh man that's hard to fathom.

Is this news to anybody? I remember reading reports from 2013 that they planned on making Reigns the next "top guy" less than one year after his debut on the main roster. If you also take the Shield DVD into account, he was bragged upon for having the look and potential of being the next big Superstar back when he was part of FCW, stuff also said about John Cena during his time in OVW.
Also, if their plan is for him to take Cena's place as face of the company, shouldn't John be the one putting him over? That's the only matchup I have any interest in watching right now involving Roman.

They're not going to stop pushing Reigns until the fans stop making noise when they hear his music.
The more they react to him, the more of him we're going to get.
If they just sat on their hands and allowed a smattering of children's cheers to be all you can hear when he's on, Vince would pull the plug on him out of embarrassment, instead he gets a heated response from the whole arena.

I don't get why they want one guy. You rely on one guy, all that pressure on one guy it's too much. Rollins, Ambrose, Wyatt, Harper, AJ, Owens, Zayn, Joe, Nakamura, Miz, Finn, Reigns, Strowman. Not just one guy who as this rate WILL NEVER BE THE ING GUY

I have to say I enjoyed their last match. Of course Rollins cash-in made the match that much better.
But honestly, things have been so predictable for the last few years, none of this would surprise me. As much as everyone, myself included, hates Reigns, WWE "needs" him as the "Face of WWE", i.e. Hogan, Austin, and Cena. So I don't see things changing anytime soon.

Listen, I think Roman has great matches and all, he almost always delivers no matter the opponent..
But the guy is literally Diesel 2.0, except instead of getting pushed for a solid 2 or less years, he's been shoved down our throats for the past 3 (and beyond). Vince is more stubborn now than ever

This makes me ill. I like Reigns, but he has not earned his spot yet as the top dog. If in a year's time they've seriously tweaked his character and gotten him to feel more organic and less like a stale rehash of John Cena, this could be good. If they continue as it is today with forcing Reigns to stay in tweener limbo, it will be a repeat of Wrestlemania 31. They tried it last year by putting Reigns against arguably the greatest heel of the past 20 years and they STILL couldn't get him over. The only real path forward is to bring back the darkness in Reigns and embrace it much like they did for Rollins. Let Reigns be absolutely hated and the audience will come around for him naturally. Alternately, they can steal a page from WCW's book and start pumping out canned cheers at every single TV and PPV event.

Management: "Roman, do this, say that, go here, do this interview, sign this thing, etc." Roman: "okay" Now, picture all of that with Punk. He said himself he wasn't a company guy, and to get all the opportunities you have to play the game (haha pun intended) and be a yes man. Right or wrong, it's Vince's house. And for WM 34, as I mentioned in the other thread, when ideas get proposed by former stars in a public manner, not just via dirt sheets, and yes, the Observer, WWE tends to do the opposite, regardless of wha sense it might make. And a lot can happen between now and then. Different ideas, injuries, merchandise sales, wellness policy violations. Hell, you really want to stop the Roman Empire? Convince parents to stop buying his stuff.

Convince parents to stop buying his stuff. Well if Punk wasn't as vocal as he was, and was a corporate yes man, he wouldn't have had 90% of the success he had. It took nearly leaving the company for him to become the hottest thing in pro wrestling. Like legitimately the hottest thing since the 90's, and he never got what Roman has had handed to him, which yes, from a business perspective is mind boggling. Instead of running with something hot they nearly ran it into he ground.

Hate to be this guy but at the end of the day - who fn cares? Most of you will always be WWE fans. Ive been a fan for 30 years!!!!!! And let me tell you - I have never been a John Cena guy. I respect the hell out of him but yes it sucks seeing him get spotlight month after month no matter what for over 10 years... Bottom line is this though - enjoy the rest of the product or at least pieces of it. The WWE IS SO MUCH BETTER TODAY than it was 5 years ago!!! SO MUCH! I am watching Survivor Series 2012 now and Sheamus v Big Show was a top feud! Ryback was in the main event! Think about that. We have world class athletes and the game is constantly changing. If Roman is in the main event, so be it. Its WWE!!! THERES ALWAYS GONNA BE A GUY TREATED BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE. We have to accept this and just enjoy what we enjoy and stop getting upset about this. We know Vince is gonna do what Vince does. it. I dont need to sit through 3 hour RAWs to be a fan of the WWE. I can pick and choose and be grateful it still exists and is doing amazing work on so many other levels.

Their Mania 31 match ruled.
But I just don't think Reigns can be the next Cena. Not that he isn't good, because I enjoy most of his matches, but he's NOWHERE near as personable or charismatic as Cena.
