Undertaker didn't get hurt. His facial expression was him knowing he was about to get hit with the spear bc he turned his back on Reigns, essentially knowing he made a mistake letting his guard down.....it was just acting.

Another waste of three hours. I have a bad feeling Roman Reigns is going to defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania and then take the Universal Championship from Brock Lesnar at Payback.

Wonder how the crowd came across on the broadcast? Heard from someone on Facebook that they were muted for a good portion because they were loud for the majority of the night.
Being there live helped me get through the show because, had I been at home, it would have been another channel surfing night halfway through...

I've lost all interest in WWE over the last 2-3 months. It all started with me getting my work schedule changed so i work through Raw live, Same with SD. So i DVR the show so i have something to watch when i get home but lately, I've just peeped the results and delete the show right after. I can stomach SD but Raw has been unwatchable and unbearable.
This might be the worst WM in YEARS. If not EVER. I have absolutely ZERO excitement this year. This part timer crap has GOT to stop. Goldberg cant even wrestle a full match, Lesnar is stale as 6 month old bread and clearly has no desire to change or even try, Shane McMahon has no reason to wrestle this year's WM, AJ Styles should be in the title picture no ifs or buts not wasted on this crap. Taker looked absolutely horrible tonight. My god. He is fat and out of shape and looked like he threw his back out on that chokeslam. Its time for him to retire.
There is not a single match on the card i'm looking forward to. Maybe Aries/Neville but lets be real, They wont be given a chance. Cena/Nikki and Miz/Maryse? This is WM worthy now? Seriously? They couldve been building up Cena/Styles for the title this whole time but they blew that and both guys are in stupid piss break matches as a result. EXCELLENT BOOKING WWE.
Man i wish there was a thriving wrestling company around so i can turn away from this crap once and for all. I guess there is always UFC.

These past few weeks have been a really boring build to what is supposed to be the biggest show of the year. I don't know what's going on over in Creative Land, but it stinks.

As someone who is flying to Orlando a week from Wednesday, these last two shows have crushed my spirits. Just have to keep reminding myself that it's all about the experience, and that it probably will still be better than last year. The first WrestleMania I ever attended was WM 23 in Detroit in 2007. The card was okay at best, but it being my first I'll never forget the atmosphere. Like you said, the experience alone makes it feel special even with a weak card. However, this is shaping up as one of the most patched-up cards in the event's history. They are literally crawling to the end of the road to WrestleMania. The build just feels uninspired. Low expectations can be a good thing. I just don't know how some of these matches can be salvaged with the participants involved. Goldberg vs Brock - the writing is already on the wall. They're last encounter at WM was one of the biggest train wrecks ever. Why should this be any different? Both are significantly older and neither guy has wrestled a legitimate match in a long time. Undertaker vs Reigns might be able to tell a good story as I'm sure everyone is awaiting a full-fledged heel turn by Roman. I'm just honestly concerned with The Undertaker at this point. The last few years it seems like all those bumps and all those miles are finally catching up to him. It is almost getting to that uncomfortable point watching him in the ring because of how fragile he appears. With his current conditioning, I can't sew this match going too long. AJ vs Shane. Sure, AJ deserves a more meaningful spot higher up the card. I'm still convinced he and Shane will be able to put together a pretty compelling match which is sure to have some kind of a stipulation and a few crazy moments. I think people will end up being pleasantly surprised with this match. Owens vs Jericho. Everybody saw this match coming. At least their angle has played out on television regularly over the last year and nobody can argue that it lacks proper build. This one I have no issues with. I hope WWE proves us doubters wrong. Just go in with subdued expectations this way you avoid getting your hopes up. It'll be a fun day regardless. We do a big wrestling costume party all day long with lots of good food and plenty of good beer. It's like a Superbowl party where even if the game sucks you make the most out of. Still, I'm hoping they can pull a rabbit out of their hat with what they're working with this year. I'd love to be proven wrong on some of the bigger marquee matches.

Man, way to mess up 5 or 6 months of build with Strowman in a couple weeks. Losing at Fastlane was bad enough, but he looked like any random superstar in last nights match. He was nearly beaten by Roman again, he couldn't get up in time to capitalize on undertaker's distraction, then he got Chokeslammed by an elderly man and disappeared. Now he's going into Mania to do... something? Win the consolation prize that is the Battle Royal? Because that's done wonders for all three previous winners.
i can't say I'm shocked that they ruined Braun's booking so easily, but with Vince being as high on him as reported, definitely thought he'd be a lot more protected. Hopefully he becomes champion sometime in the year after all the old farts leave following Mania

Undertaker literally goes "Ah sh*t" after he chokeslammed Braun because he knew he was about to eat a spear from Reigns lol

The more I've thought about it, I'm really not all that annoyed that Shane is facing AJ. We all know Shane respects the in-ring aspects of this business. Probably more than anyone else in his blood family to be honest. Shane has also had some pretty damn entertaining matches in his career....yes most of them involved him doing something completely foolish and risking his life...but you cant say that they didn't leave a memory.
So I'm not annoyed at the match or the opponent. I'm annoyed at the build. There is ZERO heat to this match. And it feels like a throwaway because they had nothing better for AJ to do (even though there would have been at least 5 other things they could have done with AJ). This match is happening because of some subtle things that sort of became an issue, and then all of a sudden AJ is throwing Shane through a car window. It's lame, it's boring, it's uninspired.
It feels like 3 weeks ago they just decided to do Shane/AJ at Wrestlemania and their reason was "because AJ is mad at Shane for having him wrestle twice for a WWE title shot"

It feels like 3 weeks ago they just decided to do Shane/AJ at Wrestlemania and their reason was "because AJ is mad at Shane for having him wrestle twice for a WWE title shot" That entire storyline was actually poor logic to begin with. Randy Orton gave up his title shot. They held a battle royal to determine his replacement and then had to have another singles match to determine the final winner. Orton should not have been able to just throw his hat back in the ring after he gave it up. If anything, he could've been added to the match, but not in place of AJ. That said, I'm sure Shane and AJ will have an entertaining match. The winner will be irrelevant since neither man has anything to gain or lose. It's just something to fill space.

As a wrestling fan of 20+ years, to me, WWE is teeing up a Taker turn here, not a Reigns one. In part, this is the problem with WWE's character development in recent years. They'll turn Taker, to garner sympathy for Reigns, but it makes no sense as to why they led us to believe Reigns was turning heel. It's like they do it simply for the shock, but it lacks all sense.
Why was Reigns acting so unlikable in the weeks up to Mania then? Bottom line is this, Reigns is their guy, Cenas Mania booking indicates he is CLEARLY on the way into the sunset, Reigns will not turn heel at Mania. This will just be another attempt at getting this guy over, any way, shape, or form.

As far as I'm concerned, they bastardized Undertaker's character when they made him resort to low blows to gain an advantage.

What?! A five arm is a flying move! Also, I hate that Cole mocks Byron as much as Corey does. Why even have Byron if you're going to make him look like a tool and mock him all the time? Sounds like a directive straight from Vince and Dunn. Having a babyface and a heel color guy is fine if they can play off of each other, but they don't. Byron is a total pushover who never has anything resembling a reasonable counterpoint. He's either terrible, scripted to be terrible, or a little of both. The irony is, is that Saxton could kick both their weedy arses. Something that could have been a nice little angle after Mania to get Charlotte out of the title picture for a month or so and put more focus on Bayley was instead made pointless right before Mania. Just another poor choice with the Raw women's division over the last couple of months.. The less focus on (boring) Bayley, the better I like it.
