Is Pro Wrestling Sheet even a reliable "news source"? Sounds like more made up Meltzer "maybe/maybe not" garbage. www.prowrestlingsheet.com/buyout-ring-honor-wwe/#.WNPcqTw8KaMPro Wrestling Sheet is run by Ryan Satin, someone who used to work for TMZ that has said in interviews he'd like to bring more journalistic integrity to wrestling news. He doesn't seem like the type to post uncorroborated stories.

Please gods of wrestling make this happen! We must build the mighty WWE monopoly stronger. I dream of a day when there are NO alternatives.
There can be only one supreme ruler... and his name is Vincent Kennedy McMahon.
Seriously though, I wouldn't mind it if they just kept ROH as like an NXT style show on the Network and allowed the current owner/GM to keep things going (on screen obviously) then we would have almost every great talent in the wrestling business alive today and an infinite number of dream matchups for Wrestlemania!

If this is true it proves what I've been saying about ROH for a long time now: WWE sees them as a potential threat. Eh, if TNA was never a real threat with a major TV deal and guys like Jeff Hardy, Angle, Hogan, and Foley - ROH certainly isn't. Especially with the amount of internal turmoil within the company right now, and guys jumping ship left-and-right. I didn't say they are a threat, I said they could be a threat. WWE has been poaching their talent for years, they established a working relationship with EVOLVE when ROH was the obvious choice and last year they booked an NXT show down the street from an ROH event. I think somebody in the McMahon machine has it out for them.

They're clearly trying to completely monopolize wrestling all over the world, even more than they have already. They want it all. They're poaching talent from NJPW, TNA, & the UK scene as a whole, too. If anything, they should be far more worried about NJPW, who are far larger than ROH and beginning to move into America soon.

If they kept the entities separate and had occasional cross-brand battles, it could be what they should've done with WCW back in the day.

I agree completely. It's just seemed to me that they've had it out more for ROH then the other indies. Maybe I'm reading too much into it though. As far as New Japan goes, I don't think WWE takes them seriously. I think that they don't believe that a Japanese company could ever gain a mainstream following in America. I've been concerned about that too. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out.

Apparently the WWE Assistant For Director & Marketing is on Twitter and tweeted the following
@jenniferp - "This is false wwe is not buying roh I asked Vince"
Her profile seems legit, but how she can tweet about this without getting into trouble I haven't the foggiest

They're already buying out their roster....
I just hope the Adam Cole rumors are true honestly. He'd be great in the WWE. I've always said he was the most WWE ready wrestler on the indies.
I don't want to see the whole company bought out though. The more wrestling the better in my eyes. Especially as someone who wants to get into the business.

While I'm not sure if I believe this or not, I wouldn't be against NXT & ROH merging into one roster. Then some of the standouts of NXT (Nakamura, Almas, Asuka, Revival, Roode) could be called up and NXT would still be a viable roster. If there's any truth to this Marino? I believe this HAS to be one of the reasons....I know they haven't a good record in this department? but if it goes through? they should book an ROH invasion of NXT angle. Could be effin gold.

If they kept the entities separate and had occasional cross-brand battles, it could be what they should've done with WCW back in the day. 100% agree with this. I understand why that didn't happen back in 2001, but considering the Network and NXT's existing success I think it would be brilliant for WWE to create an alternate brand featuring new and existing talent. Manufacture to an extent that feeling of specialty if someone like Chris Jericho or Dean Ambrose suddenly decides to "jump ship" to this new wrestling show. While they're already somewhat doing this with the brand split I envision it being being branded in it's own way like NXT while simply existing under the WWE umbrella. But I digress.. if these talks are a thing I'd think the primary benefit WWE gets from it would be the video library and ability to cherry pick talent.
