I doubt he's miserable making big money at age 50.

I feel like you read "I am miserable. I bought car. fans." That's not even close to what he was even saying. Precisely, another case of websites selecting certain quotes from the podcast to make it clickbait and cause an unnecessary stir. On a side note, I loved the first episode of Edge & Christian's podcast. I haven't listened to it, but it wasn't hard to tell he meant the training sucked ass. People just want to complain.

I heard this podcast about a week ago and so far he's said nothing but positive things about his return. This was just read out of context, but the one thing that got me about this podcast was that Goldberg said that WWE is letting them step out of their limits so I'm a little interested to see this match now.

Slowly drifting away from this forum
It seems like this is a forum for people who will never be satisfied with the wwe or their superstars

As other's have mentioned, the training is just hell. He works out 3 times a day.

There was an article that came out like 2 weeks ago, I think it was in GQ, but it documented his diet. The amount of food he consumes a day is just insane. I'm sure he's looking forward to this run ending so he can go back to his normal routine. He kept himself in shape prior to coming back so working out is just in his blood

Glad to see most reasonable people understand the context of his quote.

I think by "miserable" he means from the constant training. Because if he's upset by how WWE is booking him, he's hit his head way too many times. Exactly. Bill has been booked better against Lesnar than anyone else has....EVER.

It's tough staying in that shape at his age. It's the same reason Hugh Jackman doesn't want to play Wolverine anymore and why Daniel Craig probably won't do another James Bond movie...they're old and your body just naturally doesn't want to look like that at that age and to train enough to force it is just going to make you feel like crap all the time. I get it.

All of you guys are right.
Took this way out of context. Should have listened and analyzed carefully before angrily posting this here when there was no reason to. My mistake guys. Sometimes as fans we have a bias to stray to one side of the narrative to look for something. I won't hide my hate for Goldberg lol, but I was damn sure wrong on this one.

from what I got, it's not the strenuous part of training, it's the way it makes him feel. It sounds like he was doing just cardio before to stay in shape the last many years. for WWE, he has to bulk up, so he's had to actually cut down the cardio, doing more weights, and eating more to get bigger. This process has left him feeling terrible, from the change in diet and workout change.

I guess it is pretty miserable putting in all the training but only being booked in squash matches. Hope his mania match has a bit more action

Haha. From Goldberg's twitter... "*NEWS FLASH* Since this is chapping my ass let's get the record straight.....this wwe run, experience is frikin' awesome.... honored, humbled, truly appreciative and then some. I'M MISERABLE PHYSICALLY BECAUSE IT TAKES A MONUMENTAL EFFORT, BOTH TRAINING AND EATING, TO TRY AND BE CLOSE TO WHAT PEOPLE REMEMBER.... I STRIVE TO BE THE BEST..... RESULTS ARE GREAT BUT IT DOESN'T MEAN THERE ARE NO BUMPS ALONG THE WAY." Most of us knew what he meant, but apparently he felt the need to clarify.
