In this case the logo on Legends Warrior's chest. I've already F'd up one figure with diluted nail polish remover. Anyone know of a safer way to remove paint apps with harming the plastic and its texture? Any help is appreciated

Goof Off is a little less abrasive. Also use a cotton ball and wipe very gently.
On the more rubbery arms and legs you can basically go to town. You have to be really gentle with the harder plastic surfaces.

Magic eraser ( I can't remember who makes it , Mr Clean , maybe arm and hammer). This actually smoothes the surface which I want to prevent. I want to keep the texture of the plastic. I appreciate the suggestion though.

I think I'll test it out on something first and see the results. Thanks

are you trying to make the warrior's green attire??
I was thinking about doing the same thing and removing the paint apps on the lost legends warrior.

This was my attempt. Used acetone and it was really harsh on the chest but took the face paint off very easily with no damage.

Interesting, i'm guessing theres solvent in clear nail polish that dissolves the factory paint. Is the NP lacquer or enamel maybe?
Also interesting is that the factory paint might be water-based since it's removed so easily.

I've taken the logo off of 4 of these so far. The method I've used is the clear nail polish method. I will brush on the clear nail polish and then brush it off. I do this and get as much as I can off. Then I carefully use nail polish remover/acetone to get the rest that's in the groove that I can't wipe away with a paper towel. The nail polish remover/acetone almost messed up the first 2 I tried, it tried to mess up the plastic a bit. Made it look a little cloudy. But I brushed on some more clear nail polish and wiped it off and it fixed the spot. I normally use Goof Off to remove paint from the soft plastic areas (legs, arms, head) but it doesn't work as well on hard plastic. I just converted mine yesterday with plain old invisible, clear nail polish. Brush it on and wipe it off using an old wash cloth for larger areas then q-tips for smaller areas. I used to use good off but nail polish has never ruined the plastic. Just don't let it dry. Here's my pics... It never occurred to me to try q-tips to wipe the nail polish from smaller areas. Does it work well for getting the paint out of the muscle grooves?

ellisd, I stopped using goof off completely because the nail polish works so well and doesn't harm the plastic. Q-tips work well to get in the muscle grooves, much better than paper towels or hand towels. I stumbled upon something even better yesterday when working on the Ultimate Warrior. Baby Q-tips! I found them in the cupboard that has all our kids bandaids and medicines and stuff like that. They're actually designed with a tip on the end that fits perfectly in the grooves. Made it so much easier. They were Johnson & Johnson q-tips in a purple box that said on the box "specially shaped." Hope that helps a bit more.

I personally use Nail Polish remover, and it seems like that's the case for most people in this thread.
