I get that WWE tries to outdo themselves after Mania, but shouldn't these call-ups have been done next week with the "shake-up/mini-draft"? Kinda dumb or improper planning/inconsistency/lack of foresight by management from kayfabe standpoint.

I actually preferred having the draft/shake up in July, but it is what it is. Its not like any of the callups are moving so don't bother me much

Raw and SD have barely gotten rolling with their current rosters... I guess they're frantic trying to get more ratings...

Nah, im guessing they just wanted to continue the tradition of the last brand extension where the draft happens after Mania. Plus, there's a few people that really need to move brands, and im not just talking about RAW guys.

these are the perfect 2 days to do it. the high of wrestlemania paired with the fact that its considered the "fresh start" week....it just makes sense.
im glad they arent doing a pointless "draft" anymore. its better to just say "yeah we're gonna change things up in a week"....it gives the wrestlemania hangover a chance to play out for a night....and a build to the following week when they need more viewers.

It might be more of a trade than a draft.

It could be used to create some inter-brand tensions if say Raw steals Nakamura from SmackDown or SmackDown steals the Revival from Raw. This could lead to a Raw vs Smackdown match at SummerSlam and then later down the road to the inevitable Raw vs SmackDown Survivor Series match.

I get that WWE tries to outdo themselves after Mania, but shouldn't these call-ups have been done next week with the "shake-up/mini-draft"? No. We all watch this week because it's the week after Mania and we expect these call ups, and now they've given us a reason to watch next week.

I think we need to see next week unfold. We dont know if its a draft, a mini draft or just a chance for trades to be completed.

You debut new wrestlers in front of hot crowds. You don't bring out Nakamura in Corpus Christi.

I'm not sure why Nakamura debuts on the blue brand in his iconic red gear and the Revival debuts on RAW wearing their blue gear.

I would like to see Dean Ambrose go to Raw and Seth Rollins go to Smackdown. That's all I need to see happen really.

If I was booking the "Shake Up" show I'd have the show feature nothing but Inter-Promotional matches with the winning brands GM/Commissioner being able to hand select someone off the losing brands roster.
I'd also have Vince come out and say that the World/Univeral, Tag Team, and Womens Champions are off limits - leaving the possibility that the US and or Intercontinental Championships could switch brands.
Finally Vince could even come out and announce that the NXT Champions can't be selected unless they wish to vacate their titles, this could be used to have either Raw or Smackdown select Asuka to keep her undefeated.

The only draft I ever enjoyed was the 2004 lottery. Give me that, or give me death.

As long as AJ and Nakamura stay on SmackDown I don't care what else happens lol.

It would make sense to have the draft on the raw after Mania, rather than allow these NXT guys to debut then possibly move them the following week in the draft, why not have them just brought up in the draft itself. I highly doubt any of the guys that debuted in the last 2 days will be moved next week, but it does take away some of the legitimacy of the whole thing.

I'm glad it wasn't this week. I don't need a reason to watch the Raw (and SDL as well now) after Mania. You already know it's gonna be stacked. Now I'm actually looking forward to Raw 2 weeks on the bounce. When was the last time that happened?

I just wish Nakamura went to a raw, and Revival and Samoa Joe went to Smackdown. I only watch Smackdown, and I hate Nakamura lol.
