Wow Aj already in the big leagues! Im sure most of this is based on merch sales. Next year Finn will be top 5 and hopefully Orton won't crack top 20

I'm definitely not surprised at number one or that half of the list is made up of part timers.

Cool for AJ Styles. Best performer of 2016.
Dean Ambrose is one of the highest paid guys on the roster and was resorted to pre-show at Mania. He would benefit from some kind of character change. I don't know if he'll ever reach the overness he had in Summer 2014. Especially now with guys like Balor, Styles, Nakamura etc.

Surprised at how high Dean is on the list and that Goldberg isn't even on it. Given that Goldberg was supposed to be a one shot deal, I would have thought he negotiated for at least a million for the one match. Then add on the promos, the bonuses, video game money, and merch checks.

I'm really happy for AJ Styles. Well deserved for the workhorse of the company.

Really cool to see AJ on the list. I remember reading an article a few years back on how, at one point in time, he was suffering financially. He has worked his a** off to be where he is and deserves every single penny.

And people were worried for Dean!? Pre-show or not, for $2.7 million, I'd wrestle soup covered Bastion Booger in a janitors closet. Just saying.

Surely Lesnars cant be that much. WWE really doesn't need him for that price.

No way WWE is paying Brock that much. There has to be some Jimmy John's and other sponsorship money in that 12 Million.
If there is any justice, the Miz missed that list by $1.

Yikes, you'd think Lesnar wouldn't be such a sourpuss with that much money. He's always like IDGAF what people think, i like being alone with my dog and significant other, people are sissies, etc.
Lol, just kidding Brock, please don't break me, i don't have enough money to even tape myself back together.

$12 million for Brock?
I don't think he's worth that much tbh.

Dean, AJ and Seth being on this list makes me EXTREMELY happy.
All three of those guys deserve the world and I'm glad they're being paid as such.

Brock made 2.5m from UFC for one fight in 2016. Add that with his sponsorship money and the $3-5m from WWE (based on number of appearances), throw in his merch, and I think that number probably makes sense. It still seems a little high but I'm not shocked to see him at the top of the list. I don't think all of that money is from WWE though. Same deal for Cena. That seems to be his earnings from outside WWE combined with his WWE earnings.
The big surprise for me on this list is how high Ambrose is on it, but I guess that makes sense if he was closing down house shows for almost the whole year. AJ would have only main evented the Smackdown shows for half of the year, and Rollins was hurt a portion of the year. So Ambrose jumped right in and obviously was/is slinging that merch at live events. I know we read, quite often, that Reigns wasn't out performing Ambrose as a draw between the two crews, but it's crazy to see how close they are in earnings from all of it. I'm curious to know how much more Reigns received as a WrestleMania payout over Ambrose. I would guess that is a big chunk of what separates them financially, which is really just arbitrarily based on Vince's own personal hard on for a guy.
Fun to read this kind of stuff. Thanks for sharing!
