He's long overdue for one, he's had a lot of setbacks with injuries and was one of the hottest wrestlers in the mid-2000s and with him going into the NXT title picture soon, I think it's time they at least consider releasing one, especially with a cloth robe.

I would definitely buy it. Itami is an amazing guy. Really sucks that his career was put on setback from the injuries. Hopefully, he can come back in a big way this year. NXT is wide open right now, so I'm hoping he can make some waves.

He's gotta stay healthy for awhile first. Since he debuted it's been one step forward one step back. His first Basic sold terribly, surprised he even has a second basic coming up Sold out fast here. He was on shelves for a week and then gone. |

He needs to stay healthy. He's been in WWE since 2014 and he's really done nothing. He's been out injured for more time than he's been active.

He doesn't look like an expensive figure to make, so I wouldn't doubt it.

They sold OK around here to all the NXT stuff does so I wouldn't be surprised at all if he gets one

It's possible. Based on what I've seen, the TakeOver Basics and Elites are said to represent both past and present performers from NXT.
If Hideo becomes a bigger part of the show and doesn't miss any additional time due to injuries, I think he could certainly qualify for a present Elite figure.

He sold out really fast around here as well. Actually when I picked up the only one at my WalMart, it was the last time I ever saw him!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but was he one of the first nxt basics as well?

If he has a good NXT run, why not? Look at how many Balor elites we get and his main roster run has been like what a couple months.

I love people say that someone's no "worthy" of being an elite. As if it were some kind of award or honor. It's a toyline, nothing more.
That said, I really want an Itami elite. I don't collect basics and I want him with his gi. I don't see him in this first Takeover elite line, given that he's in the basic line, but hopefully we'll get him in some way, sooner rather than later.

Itami needs a new look and design on his attire. I don't see him getting an Elite this year with all the injuries and not really being shown on NXT.
