Jinder has been amazing on SD honestly
Really want him to win
The stuff he was saying about Orton on Talking Snack was so true

Despite the supposed rule about good guys winning when they make guarantees, I still don't have a strong prediction for the AJ match. There're a lot ways AJ could be used on the show right now. I do hope he wins though!
Randy will most likely retain. His next challenger after Jinder isn't obvious, either, though Rusev makes sense.
Otherwise, the Usos will probably retain until New Day is back to dethrone them; Nakamura will win.
So, it all looks like a neat, little pay per view!

Excited for this weekend, i think between Takeover and Backlash we are gonna have a great weekend of shows.
Ziggler v Nakamura will be great, tag title match should be really good, and KO/AJ has MOTY written all over it.

I've barely watched the weeklies since the brand split since they kinda went to crap again. Is there actually any heat for anything on this show? I'm obviously only judging from what I've read and a couple of clips here and there, looks like a real "wrestling for the sake of wrestling" PPV. Pretty good card though.

The rule about guaranteeing victories doesn't really apply anymore. Guys have been guaranteeing victories and not following through for a few years now. Vince Russo talked about this in a fairly recent podcast. About how it devalues the word of the babyface.

Zayn/Corbin is the only really thrown together match. I actually think it's a very underrated card. Been rather impressed with the single brand PPV's this time round. I remember the first brand split PPV'S being a lot worse.

If you can take Jinder seriously as a contender (I can't), and aren't bored to tears by everything Randy Orton does these days, their build has been by-the-books "fine." AJ/Owens will be a great match, but the build hasn't been particularly interesting. Owens was too involved with Jericho for them to really spend any time building the AJ match. Nakamura/Ziggler has been fine, although there's been a lot left to be desired with the way they've handled Shinsuke thus far. Everything else is just sort of there. It could be a decent show.

I've never heard of this before in my area or in general in all the time I've been a Hooters EClub memeber lol but they emailed me saying how they're showing Backlash there! I'm tempted to go! It's always sports in places like Hooters and Buffalo Wild Wings, so it'd be cool to see wrestling on

Imagine how much more of a credible challenger Jinder could be if he had won the Andre the Giant Battle Royal instead of, you know, the guy who has been on TV once or twice since winning it. I realize that was all about Gronk, but Jinder could've easily cheated to toss Rawley out, then mouthed off to Gronk and taken the tackle just the same.

I was giving them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they knew Jinder was Orton's next challenger come Wrestlemania, but, in all likelihood, they probably made that call the Tuesday he won the #1 contenders match.

If Jinder Mahal doesn't win the WWE title on Sunday I am going to be mighty disapointed

Yeah, I'm on the Jinder train as well. I've been on the Jinder train since day one, he definitely deserves this.

Why is Tyes match on the pre-show? He's more popular than Rowan and Harper plus his match with English has been given backstage stuff where as Harper vs Rowan is just a random rematch
