What's this have to do with wwe?
If you're insinuating that he may come back, not a chance.

I thiiiiiiiiiiiink this would probably be better suited in the MMA board considering he IS being introduced as an MMA fighter 1st and a "Former Wrestling Star" 2nd. Doesn't bother me much but you know how we can be nit picky :-p.

I'm glad he's happy. He looks a lot healthier.
I'm a fan of him as a person, not just the character he portrayed on wwe TV. Thats why I can support him and not feel like he "walked out" on me. Hopefully he can continue to pursue things that he genuinely enjoys.

Not bad despite the surrounds (I personally find those breakfast TV shows insufferable) and I'm a fan of his, so good on him. Funny that he plugged AJ's book.

I feel his first fight didn't help him "mature" per say. I think he was humbled. Regardless of what all of our opinions are of CM Punk, I'd say most of us can agree he has a pretty massive ego, which is totally normal to have when you work for almost two decades as a pro wrestler. But, I think his ego also gave him unrealistic expectations of what would happen when he fought in the UFC. I truly think he thought he was going to win, which while admirable, I think is also quite foolish. My impression from this interview was that losing that fight helped humble him to a degree, which is not by any means a bad thing. In martial arts, staying humble and having a small amount of humility is how you excel as a new fighter. It helps you learn from your mistakes, and improve on them.
While I truly don't think the outcome would be much different if he were to fight again, I'd say his loss probably helped him improve greatly at least while training and sparring.

Can I also just say how much I like your avatar - I love that fight between BJ Penn and Joe Stevenson; for me it truly showed how amazing BJ could be.

I'd like to see him given another chance... I think it's cool he's taking it all so seriously and living out his dream of being an MMA fighter. He doesn't really deserve to fight in the UFC - but he's a big draw, so can't really blame either side... Maybe he could take part in a TUF series? It might give him a better chance - and would be a nice boost to the ratings too.

Sorry for refreshing this somewhat old reply (I'm not on here very often nowadays, but I try to hop in every once and again!), but thank you sir! Always been a die hard for the Hawaiian Cabbage Patch kid!

It's so ironic that he left one industry because he felt undeserving, under developed performers were getting spots on the show they didn't deserve... and he goes to another industry to do the exact same!
True he is a big draw, but put any other celebrity in that spot and the same draw will happen.
Which industry is the fake one again???

Me too - I just wish he did his best when I saw UFC 127 in 2011...a draw with Jon Fitch was the last thing I wanted to see...

Which industry is the fake one again??? Good point! UFC tries to make you think that a man the size of a 6th grader is the best fighter in the world. WWE has their men the size of 6th graders jumping around with umbrellas. One is silly. The other is fake.

I was actually hoping he'd do more comic-related stuff seeing that he's a fan but he wants to get in there again - good for him.
