So, op, are you even trained or did you just get thrown out there in front of 25 people ?
I'm not meaning that as being a douche, but if you want to get hurt and kill your credibility from the get go, don't let a 'promoter' just toss you into a ring ... it isn't cool and you should stay as far away from that type of garbage show as possible.
I've never worked a show where someone was just thrown into a match with no earthly idea what they're doing.... that puts me at risk and also my opponent, that's a major no no.

UPDATE: Today went rather unexpected lol. The promoter told me I was Security for anybody who decides to climb in the ring or start fights. Then out of nowhere He decides to put me in a heel faction called "La Familia". We had a Lumberjack Strap match and I was chosen to take part in. I somewhat botched a spot with a guy kneeing me in the head. I was rattled, but conscious enough to sell it lol. The guy who landed on me almost tried to fight me since I made him look tired lol. So my day on the job was rather adventurous lol. Hopefully They will let do more as the Security character because I love the heel heat I get lol. lol tf

For a second I thought this was the other thread where the kid got a job at Arbys.

They only needed me because they ran short on guys.

Awesome man, glad you had a fun time! And I wouldn't pay any mind to the people coming down on you. Friends, and friends of friends have always played bit parts in entourages in wrestling. I mean, maybe the people trolling the thread have never seen celebrities get mixed up in wrestling? Or maybe they think that Steve-O trained with Lance Storm for 3 months before working Raw? Like, what kind of f*#%king training does one need to stand on the outside and wait for their cue to get bumped from the face? Any idiot who's watched more than one wrestling show knows how to do that... Training, for that?! Don't listen to that crap man... lol geesh Anyways, hope you had fun and that you get to do more stuff like this. Remember, shakes people's hands and remember their names! This post doesn't surprise me at all coming from you. Nobody in this thread is coming down on the guy for living his dream, so stop with the drama queen nonsense. They're coming down on a promotion that should know better than to throw someone into a match that's not ready to perform. And yes, I'd all but guaran-damn-tee that Steve-O got shown more than "what to do" ten minutes before the show went on the air. The simple fact is that the promotion the OP is working for knows they can get away with crap like they did because the OP is green and more excited than Charlie Bucket walking into Willy Wonka's factory to be there working live on a real wrestling show. The took advantage of that and put both the OP and everyone he was working with in jeopardy. Any "idiot" who's watched more than one wrestling show knows that wrestling can be hugging dangerous to everyone involved. Look at Droz for hug's sake. And D-Lo was a trained pro with years of experience under his belt when that happened. Please. Keep on keeping on OP, but for God's sake...be safe out there!

Even if it turns out to be a crap job, you'll still have a bunch of great stories, and in the end that's all we are, a collection of stories.

A guy knees you in the head for real and then gets angry at you for "making him look bad", classic.

They shouldn't expect that much out of you.

Too often people take perceived "smaller" jobs in wrestling as easy-peasy. Standing on the apron and coming in and doing one bump does sound and look easy, but anything can go wrong at any time. Like OP said, he got a stiff shot to the head doing a seemingly routine spot. Just like the promotion, OP has to cover his butt too. Great job on gaining your dream job OP, but like everyone else is saying to you, stay safe and stay sharp out there.

This is great, but you already stooged yourself. Saying no is a no no! We all know you shouldnmt be in a ring, and not to say this company is something huge, but you shouldn't have said no, you should have said "i need training first". They may have taken you under their wings and taught you something and showed you are there to learn. Be a kiss ass without brown nosing.

They may have taken you under their wings and taught you something and showed you are there to learn. Be a kiss ass without brown nosing. Only problem is, if this place is willing to throw him out there without any training whatsoever, that puts him at risk ... the people he's 'working' with at risk ... and ultimately you don't want to 'learn' from ANY place that finds that acceptable. Sorry, but to me that's just the same as backyard wrestling ... Go somewhere legit, learn and gain experience, then you should have no problem in obtaining your goal. However, if just going out there completely untrained and 'winging it' make you feel like you're living your dream ... congrats, until you come across someone that actually knows how to work, has been trained and sees this as disrespectful. Trust me, don't do it if you're not trained.
