I was curious if anyone has been able to take kickpads off the new mold of figures for guys like Seth Rollins and BP 46 Miz.
I can't seem to get them off of Basic 71 Rollins, using the boiled water method. Has anyone been able to do it successfully for BP 46 Miz? I'm trying to give it smaller kneepads.

The new ones seem like hard hollow plastic as opposed to thick hard rubber, not a fan of any of the new molds

The kick pads need to be split like torsos as they are two pie es glued together.

I had like the hardest time of my life getting the kickpads back on Elite 47 AJ Styles after I took them off to put the kneepads on. Was a real struggle. I actually had to shave down the peg to get it back in.

You can put kneepads on without removing the boot. Its a pain too, but its possible.

Mattel better step up their knee pad game if we're gonna have to sand down boot pegs just for swaps

what makes no sense to me, is why make it harder? you think since alot of us do swaps , customs, fixups, etc.. they would start making parts easier...just my 2 cents.

Based on none of my emails regarding figure construction/painting ever being answered, Mattel doesn't give a fig about customizers and will never take us into consideration when making their decisions. And why would they, we basically ask them to make figures easier to disassemble while they spend thousands researching ways to make them harder to disassemble, for safety concerns.

I just pop a the knee pin out when putting on pads. I just thought of something. The new figures dont have pins in the knees or elbows anymore. Some still do, but b60 and 68.5 Seth didnt have the pins so Id imagine the new ones the same... They just had to make things difficult

I personally like the new molds. But, I don't part swap or customize.

I hope they aren't built like old GI Joes or DCUC figures where the whole thigh is hard plastic that needs to be cracked.

The elbows do, but it osnt compatible with old ones which there are more options for part swapping. Pisses me off because if theyre going to do this then they need to make their product better. We shouldnt have to fix them but at least we used to be able to....
