The back of the box suggests this is December 1998 Rock. Obviously the physique/tattoos/face are 1998 Rock but the gear puzzles me. I'm pretty sure this was his Royal Rumble 2013 gear. I can't find him wearing this December/January of 98/99.
My plan is to just throw a pair of track pants on him for his I Quit Match but I just want to make sure I"m not missing anything with the trunks.

I put the shirt on my DM Rock from SS 98 because its more of a NOD look. The 47.5 figure I gave a Big Eagle title.

Saw the figure today at TRU. Actually I saw the whole wave except for Goldust and Pillman which are the two I wanted. But I saw nothing special about the Rock figure. So I left it.

I like the e47 figure, I'm gonna keep it MOC.
I have nod rock loose with a Ralph's tracksuit and attitude era world title belt and that is what I use for 98/99 rock.

The entire figure is from 2000. I noticed that too and went through WWE Network looking at Rock's matches/promos.
He had the full on sideburns throughout 1998 and 1999. After he left the Nation (and a little before) he used a more straight font for his name on his trunks and more black in the bull on the back. In 2000 he changed hair styles to the one on the figure and his trunks had a curved font and more color in the bull.
The ONLY thing Dec 1998 about that figure is the shirt which he wore in matches that winter. And I guess the solid black elbow pads. I think in '99 and '00 he had bull logos on his elbow pads. Other than that, it's all from that 2000-2002 era.
I took that shirt and put it on one of the NOD Rocks along with track pants that came with one of the modern Rocks after his return and it looks fantastic. Looks just like Rock from his Mankind feud.

The figure is based on his look around 2000. The shirt looks to be based on his late Nation/pseudo-babyface run from around September 1998.

Either way the plain silver has been beat to death between basics and elites, past and present. I'm pretty sure he had some other colors here and there. Red outline was a mor iconic look for me.

I want that shirt but have no use for the actual figure. It'd be perfect to cover up that ridiculous torso on the NOD 2-pack Rock.

The Rock has a few different looks, but anything around 1998-2002 all kind of looks to same to me. This is coming from a huge Rock fan.
