From what I saw when in the US and certainly here in AU, re-releases warm hard.

I wouldn't mind the second attire if they make a new headsculpt or mod hof diesel with longer hair. I still neee the battle pack Nash head to swap onto my RSE.

E16 isnt BATB. Its close, but he didnt have the Outsiders print on the leg, and his hair was darker. Who knows though because he was supposedly hard to find/sought after, and RIngside still has the exclusive. Hall sold out in a few months or less. Were also getting Diesel in the Target Hall of Fame line so its a crap shoot.
Either way im not torn. Paid $50 the two e16 figures loose/complete. Humble brag

I don't think they'll straight-out rerelease the E16 Nash... I could see them releasing him - but giving him the dark haired/BP head, removing the "Oustsiders" writing on the leg and making the wristbands white (instead of black) - so he'd go with the recent/E51 Hall.
It amazes me though that we've had 3 Elite figures of Hall and Nash now (including the Nitro HOF set) - but still don't have two that match/go together(!).

I think they should re release that and NWO Macho and maybe a few carefully picked figures. If you got them good for you. The people that never got a chance should get a shot at them for retail prices and not these atrociously inflatted scalper prices.

Not a straight rerelease, but I'd love a BATB figure, with the different hair, belt and pants. We already have four of the six guys from the match, so it makes sense.
Though him still coming with the nWo world title would be fine with me, since I missed it before.

I wouldn't mind it being rereleased in something like Lost Legends, since now we have Hall in new packaging and a matching Nash would be sweet, possibly too sweet. A 1:1 rerelease wouldn't hurt either imo, since a lot of people seem to have missed it, since he was 0.5ed. It might disappoint a few people, but it'll sell fine and I need a new one anyways since mine has mysterious blue ink rubs all over him and Vanilla Ice eyebrows, plus I want one for my boxed collection.

Look I understand what you are saying, but to say others didn't get a chance isn't true. If you weren't collecting then, unfortunately you miss out. It's not that u didn't have a chance, u had as much chance as everyone else at the time. Now I completely agree that everyone should have an opportunity to own a Kevin Nash from this era, but a straight re-issue is just lazy on Mattels behalf - and I hope every single one of them warms hard. It wouldn't take much to repaint it, and give newer collectors a chance to get Outsiders Nash. And people who sell their Nash figures now are not scalpers, they brought something and now it has gone up in value. After years and years, because of supply and demand. More want it, then have it - price goes up. Scapling refers to short term market gains. Eg. I walk into Walmart, see all the Balors - buy them and list them all on eBay preventing others from getting them at a fair market value (retail). What has happened with some (very few) older figures is the fair market value has increased, by chance and circumstance. It's not the same thing and it's unfair to call anyone who is selling a older figure at fair market value a scalper - just because it's worth is greater then retail. |
