Before Jinder Mahal came back to the WWE, TNA was interested in him and wanted him to headline their tour of India going on right now. TNA always had an eye on the Indian market.

If they wanted him so badly why didn't they sign him?

If WWE was "scared" of Impact in the Indian market, wouldn't they have put the title on an Indian guy a few years ago or whenever Impact was going to India a few years ago before they cancelled it?

It's funny because Impact has had a storyline focusing on a wrestler of Indian heritage building up longer than Jinder has been in the world title picture.
Sonjay Dutt's future is bright.
Also, why would Impact want to even want themselves to be credited for Jinder's push. Jinder's rise has been trash.

Well TNA did to the Ring Ka King shows in India back in 2011/2012. So yeah you can say they did it first.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't TNAs ratings through the roof in India?? Or at least they were at one point. I definitely remember reading something about how popular they are over there. It could've been a false report though.

If they wanted him so badly why didn't they sign him? The really bizare thing is Jinder was on a podcast last week (either Jerichos or Austin's I can't remember right now) and said for several years nobody called him, then TNA called on a Monday and wanted him to fly in on that Sunday to talk about signing him. Well Wednesday comes around and WWE calls and wants to sign him, he agreed but said he couldn't officially sign until Monday because of the TNA meeting.

Good thing Mahal went back to WWE, things worked much better for him there. Also Sonjay Dutt only became X-Division champion cuz of the India tour.

I just read that TNA paid fans 400 rupies each to attend their tapings. They are pathetic.
I dont understand why anybody would pursue a fanbase in such a poor, s*** filled country.
