The winner should always have that option and have a segment to which he signs a contract for which champion he wants to face at WM. Undertaker ended up being the last person to do that. we got a great segment and highlight of the RA era from that option

It just adds to the story and makes things interesting.

No. The winner should only be eligible to face his brand's champion.

I've said it several times before, but I'd prefer it if they used the Rumble to push mower talent into the upper midcard or main event scene. The winner getting a world title shot has booked them into a corner and almost always forces a predictable and/or boring winner. so... like the Hardys? Well they wouldn't need the push, but I understand your point and my answering is an unwavering ABSO-GODDAMN-LUTELY!!! Broken everything > you

Wouldn't mind it, since the last time it happened was in 2004.

Yes it puts a shock factor when someone wins the rumble and jumps to raw or smackdown. I can remember how shocked I was when Chris did it

Yes, i think this years rumble ending and subsequent matches were a waste of time and didn't go anywhere

Yeah, even if they dont the choice should be there with the RR winner Showing up to each show, the 2/3 or however many PPV's there are between RR and WM are usually 100% predictable especially in the main event scene, cause you know what the title match at Mania will be.
Atleast with the RR winner teasing going for a different title, it causes a bit of doubt.

i think it had more to do with '17 being the first year the brand split was really back into full effect after a few years, and just further cementing that to the universe as a whole. and tbh i wouldnt be surprised if they went the same route this year, but should they stick with this stricter brand split formula then i can deff see it happening down the road. this year they went about it very much like 03 when it was barely if at all considered an option, so maybe next year will be more like 04 when benoit jumped...7 year rule kids! anything is possible, but moreso if its happened once before
