Considering whoever wins the 2018 Royal Rumble Match whether they be a RAW guy they decide to move brands to go to Smackdown Live to fight for the WWE Championship or whether they be a Smackdown guy decide to jump brands to go to RAW to challenge for the WWE Universal Championship should WWE reinstate that? Because last year well this year in 2017 the winner wasn't able to challenge either champion but was only allowed to go after his brand's champion so why shouldn't the 2018 winner be able to decide which champion of his choice he wants to go after?

No, but you should stop making 5738 threads a day.

If they didn't do it this year, I highly doubt they will next year.
Why do you go into every little detail when you type? Honest question.

Man, you always come back with a vengeance huh? 405 threads in a night.
And no, they split for a reason.

Sure. I used to like when they could jump. Usually gave us great match ups and some good TV leading up to the decision.

The only time the Rumble winner switched brands was in 2004. From 2005-2013 they said the winner could challenge either the WWE or World Heavyweight Champion. The winner always chose his brands champion.
We already know Reigns is winning the 2018 Royal Rumble and challenging Lesnar for the Universal Championship in Raw's WrestleMania main event so I don't think they'll promote "winner faces the champion of his choosing."

-- I like the idea. Creates a new element for the winner.
Still think Joe should've debuted at the Rumble this year, won it, appeared on both RAW & SDL (since he would've been considered a Free Agent (( If Health can appear on both shows as a FA, Joe absolutely could)) ) - just to tease who he would be challenging. Joe chooses to face Cena, who never would've dropped it at the Chamber, and instead we would've gotten Joe vs. Cena for the strap, while we could've gotten a much healthier Rollins vs. Triple H, cause Joe would've never damaged Seth's knee. Sorry, space-time continuum......
Point is, if the RR winner gets a choice, then the company can decide to pull the trigger on which main event looks better.

If a storyline requires it to happen it will, but I do think they should put emphasis on it every year to make it sound like the prize is even bigger.

No.
You should challenge for the title that's on your roster or gtfo.

If the storyline calls for it, yes.

The winner should always have that option and have a segment to which he signs a contract for which champion he wants to face at WM. Undertaker ended up being the last person to do that.

I always liked when they had the segment where the Rumble winner would make his final decision on which title to fight for. There was the classic one where Batista gave Triple H the thumbs down. Sure Batista stayed on the brand he was already on but there was the build up of Triple H trying to convince Batista to fight JBL. Forgot which year Taker won, but I vaguely remember a segment where he stared down both champions in the ring and then snapped toward the one he chose (I think either Edge or Batista) and did the cut throat thing.
Having the option is cool, even if they end up staying on the same brand.

The Royal Rumble winner should be able to jump brands. I think Mr. Money In The Bank should be able to jump brands as well. It creates for an intriguing storyline, and brings a possible element of surprise.

Considering we've only had 2 (consecutive) years where the Rumble winner switched brands or teased to, it really doesn't bother me. Whatever's best for the storyline/end result I guess π€·π½ββοΈ

I've said it several times before, but I'd prefer it if they used the Rumble to push mower talent into the upper midcard or main event scene. The winner getting a world title shot has booked them into a corner and almost always forces a predictable and/or boring winner.
