Tye Dillinger, Roman Reigns, Bayley, Finn Balor, American Alpha...I don't like the trend of keeping popular stars off TV for no reason.

American Alpha and Tye are really the only ones suffering here though. Having everyone on the show every week for years has overexposed a lot of guys to the fans. It's a smart move to keep guys off of TV for a week or two here and there. Back in the day guys like Hogan, Flair, Savage, etc wouldn't be featured EVERY week and it made people excited to see them when they did get featured. It's a smart move. They're just going about it in a weird way. And with guys like Tye and Alpha it has hurt them because they haven't even been built up yet. That's the wrong time to do it.

He's a Smackdown star which means he's part time with no storyline or direction.
Seriously though how are these guys expected to get over if they rarely appear?

I think the powers that be quickly realized that flashing ten fingers wasn't enough to have a sustainable career.
People forget that Tye got over in NXT not solely because of the the Perfect 10 gimmick, but because he was the lovable loser who they watched try, and try, and try again. They got to know Tye as the NXT mainstay who stayed the course when all of his contemporaries were getting called up and they rewarded him for it. When he was brought up to the main roster, that was gone, and all that was left was a guy, and some people in the crowds chanting "10."

I was surprised Finn wasn't on RAW especially with it being a 3 hour show. But I can see how Dillinger wasn't on SD seeing it is a 2 hour show and they need to get all their "big story" talent on with them heading into Sunday's PPV.

But Raw is 3 hours. If you take your top guys off the show you are really left with nothing and its hard to fill 3 hours with nothing without getting themselves into the ratings predicament they find themselves in currently. Something's gotta give.

They had that match at Backlash and haven't wrestled since.

Agreed. I've been missing him and AA. Smackdown sucks right now and they could use all the help they can get. I guess maybe if there is nothing for them to do you keep them off TV though. I get that logic. I'd like to see 10 have a really good feud with KO.

I think the problem with Tye is that SD has no lower to mid-card heels for him to feud with. Unless they come up with something for him & Rowan to feud over I don't see much for him at the moment. Once MITB is over, I suspect he'll be given more to work with. Maybe a feud with Ziggler?
As far as American Alpha goes, I think they're being left off TV for a reason. I fully suspect they are the ones who trashed the Fashion Police station. A heel turn in vital for their survival with New Day returning and the Fashion Police taking off.
All that being said, I agree that if there is nothing for a talent, no reason to force it. Because if they do, usually someone suffers a loss they didn't need to or they get involved with a garbage storyline. Absence makes the heart grow fonder sort of thing.

As is the case with 90% of NXT call-ups, the WWE got bored with him after about two weeks and have nothing for him to do. They clearly had zero long-term plans for him when they called him up, other than to say "Hey! Look! We care about SD, too!"

They should introduce a wrestler named 9.99 to feud with Tye Dillinger
