When talking about his feud with The Miz, which led to a WrestleMania 27 match against Michael Cole, Lawler reveals his WrestleMania match payday:
“My lone WrestleMania match led to my biggest payday ever in the wrestling business. Here’s me, an announcer, having a WrestleMania match with another announcer. In a matter of a few minutes , I got paid $130,000 for that match."
Im sorry, but I have to call bullcrap on this.

I believe it.
Bobby Heenan said that for managing Andre the Giant at Wrestlemania III that he made well over a million dollars I believe it was. Maybe even more.

Wrestlemania pay days are/were apparently outrageous before the Network. I believe Orton had made $400,000 for his main event with Triple H at Mania 25. I could be wrong though.

I'm sure it's true. Jim Ross has said before he knows a guy or two who has pulled in a 7 figure payday for Mania.

This thread has just reminded me of how dreadful heel Michael Cole was. I was so glad when Rock came back and shut his ass down.

Yeah that doesn't seem out of place at all. Sounds about right.

In documents filed with the court, Warrior got paid 550k for Wrestlemania 1991 plus merch. In shoot interviews a common question is always about Pay. Typhoon was talking about an early 90s survivor series and that he got paid 45k for limited work.
Point being, the PPV bonuses were always crazy. They still are. Taker and Shane each got 2 mil for Mania 32.
Moral of the story, Lawler is probably telling the truth

Lawler vs Cole was one of the big feuds that year, it seems like a feasible payday for the King.

I wonder how much miz for for winning the championship I'm sure he had a nice payday, but it's possible he didn't get paid as much as people would think for a Wrestlemania main event against John Cena. Jericho mentioned in his second book that when he got the paycheck for his Wrestlemania X8 main event title match against Triple H it wasn't nearly as much as he expected and not even in the same ballpark compared to how much HHH got. He voiced his grievance and ended up with a bigger check, but I could imagine something similar happened when they cut the paychecks for Cena/Miz. I'm sure Cena got the lion's share. Rumor has it, Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels made a KILLING for their Iron Man match at Wrestlemania 12.

I believe this, this was before there was a WWE Network so fans would have to pay up $60-$70 for a PPV.

That's not really all that ridiculous a number. I see no reason why he'd be lying about it.

Ric Flair has also stated that wm matches are his biggest paydays as well. Thisisn't hard to believe.
