About 2 years ago I wasn't big on Reigns at all. I didn't believe in him as the front man for WWE neither as a main-event player, but his work has really come together over these 2 years and I think he's one of the best overall, consistent performers in WWE. His matches with AJ, Seth, Rusev, KO, Bálor, and Strowman have all been great and shows that he can hang with the best of them. I'm happy to say that I was proven wrong. Instead of Roman cracking under the pressure of fan negativity, he thrived and has become a great performer.
I've not only warmed up to him, but have become a fan. I really hope Vince stops force-feeding lines to him. Because if he delivers promos from the heart, I think the fans will sense authenticity and will understand him more. I think fans will respect him in due time.
Thoughts?

Yeah I have, he's not a good guy and he's not a bad guy. He may seem like he is superman, but at least he runs into walls at times (Strowman, Lesnar, Joe). I don't like when wwe used him to almost mock us. At the Royal Rumble, wwe knew damn well that everyone was expecting a surprise entrant at #30 and they gave us Reigns, but I have started to like Roman since.

I think a lot of people actually like him- just not the way he's booked. He has, for the most part, had really good matches. It's just when he's presented as this Cena-esque dudley do right trying to make jokes, people see through it. Give me back this guy coming through the crowd and never speaking or smiling!

No complaints about Roman in the ring. I haven't had one of those in a while. He shows up consistently and has had some incredibly memorable matches in the last couple of years.
WWE has also done an excellent job making him a star. He's got presence, and his booking, if nothing else, has trained the audience into accepting that he's a big deal.
He's still a one dimensional character who is miscast, though. That hasn't changed, and doesn't appear to be changing any time soon.

The way they want him portrayed on TV is what I have a problem with.
He'd probably be the most interesting character on the entire show if you toss the script in the trash.

Nah.
I'll admit, he knows how to consistently put on good matches. Aside from that... meh. I can't even say I hate him anymore; I just tend to groan and turn my attention to my phone when he comes on now (unless Braun is actively murdering him).

No. I stopped watching Raw though saw his segments with Braun and thought he was great getting killed every week.

I've never had a problem with Roman's in ring skill. He delivers. But I think the less he talks the better off he'll be. Silent and cocky is far better than funny and whimsical.

Never been cold on the guy. He has a money look. Just wished they stopped booking him so poorly. I want the bad ass Roman back.

I've always liked him but he has improved greatly since Mania. He's not trying to be a super face anymore and the way he brags about retiring The Undertaker and the ring being his yard fits his character perfectly.

Honestly I was more of a fan of the guy after Mania 31 where he won over some fans, and had a solid run against guys like Big Show, Bray, etc... Even as some on here have mentioned, when he gets to play the badass character, he's money (i.e. when he destroyed Triple H at TLC 2015). But his booking is hot garbage to put it mildly. They're so hell bent on booking him as the guy to "overcome the odds" that he's missing out on being the dominant face that he should be. Overall I'm just sick of seeing the same storyline of him being the big dog, yet somehow also the underdog. He's a one-dimensional character thats been booked into a corner. He could be better, but WWE sees dollar signs, and couldn't care less about ratings anymore.

I've always liked him. However as a fan, even I find WWE's booking of him tiresome. There are some great ideas in this thread, but WWE will continue booking him in a way that will continue to make fans resent him.

Him, I don't mind.
His booking that sets him up as the Second Coming of Superface John Cena that was automatically thrust upon him; the insistence that he is the be-all, end-all of not only the WWE but the entire pro wrestling industry, with nobody else being close to comparable; and the flagrant, grating, constant buttkissing he always seems to get from commentary, is downright nauseating.
