So I was just thinking that it would be cool if Mattel would include sideplate accessories with figures. The sideplates are easy enough to pop out already, and being able to change them would be easy.
The only problem I see is a choking hazard for smaller kids but we've had smaller or just as small accessories before like necklaces, microphones, etc.
Do you think this would be a good idea?

As long as it didnt take away from decal/details it would be awesome. I have plenty of mics and chairs, wouldn't mind a little changeup in accessories.

The sideplates would be the best accessory for chase figures, instead of Slammys and Gold strapped Big W Championship Title Belts.

Im assuming you mean the side plate for the figure belts? I dont see that happening. Seems like they are awful small plus to match the titles they'd need to have that gold plating done which costs money.

Mattel should really do this with the Wrestlemania Tru exclusive figures, It would give those exclusives figures a unique touch

I was thinking they'd only come with elites, and most elite WWE championships have the same metallic coat. They def wouldn't cost more than the lame backdrops they've been doing. But like the person above me said the easiest and most reasonable way to expect these would be exclusive figures with the exclusive belt. Like the TRU Elite Mania 32 Reigns could of had his side plates instead of the normal. Or the new Summer Slam Balor having his plates would be nice. I think it would add an extra special touch on exclusives.

It's a good idea, there are several ways to execute it too. I always thought the best method would be making them maybe 1/1000 or chase belts and using the wrestlers logo as a sticker that could cover a retooled version of the sideplate where the circle is smooth. It is very unlikely but if I was still collecting and made customs, that is what I would do.

It would be cool, but I don't see Mattel wasting money on this. I think the easiest way would be to have plate that just has printed out side plates rather than engraved. Or they could mold them sort of like the Japanese version of the white figuarts ranger where the medallion comes off the chest.

The only thing I can think of is if Mattel started to produce the sideplate area blank, and placed a superstar specific DECAL on the side plate. They aren't going to encourage people to actually remove the sideplate from the strap. Mattel doesn't even want us to customize the figures, look at how difficult it is now with the new arms/leg joints.

Aren't 90% of the titles released now the solid molded ones and not the vac-metal ones?

Aren't 90% of the titles released now the solid molded ones and not the vac-metal ones? I think they've phased out the fully molded WWE Title. I haven't seen one with a figure since the MITB Rollins and Elite 37 Brock. It's been at least a year and half since I've seen one with a figure. Network Reigns had a Vac-metal one. Elite 45 Rollins and Reigns both had Vac-metal. Elite 46 Sheamus had Van-metal. Elite 47 Kevin Owens Universal Title (same mold as WHC) was Vac-metal. SummerSlam Elite Finn Balor's Universal Title was Vac-metal. And Network Dean Ambrose, whenever it comes out, is scheduled to have a Vac-metal WHC as well. That's what I can remember off hand, but I only remember two figures, and maybe some playsets, coming with the all molded fully rubber WHC belt.

This is exactly what I was thinking and would be a great idea! Surprised more customizers haven't done this yet. Obviously Mattel shouldn't do it often, but special figures should come with special customized belts, just like Edge, Cena, and Ryder in the past. I don't think they need to be interchangeable though. Just include the custom sideplate on special figures of past recent WWE and Universal Champions that have had them. It would mean so much more than just having what is essentially the VACANT version of the title with default plates. Would love to see AJ's with those blue side plates especially!

I could see something like this passing through as a Ringside exclusive.

1. Choking hazard 2. Money and budget spent on new sideplates for everyone 3. Just make some decals or stickers

Highly unlikely of this happening because of the choking hazard, though at the same time, the most recent Mankind came with small tufts of hair. So who knows.
