Hello, I do apologise if this thread is in the wrong location, if so please lock and relocate me to the apt place. I got E45 Regal Signed yesterday, got him to sign it with a sharpie. Now, I was wondering how to make sure the writing doesn't fade or anything like that (I also got a commemorative belt signed by Edge as well so I'm curious to both really) because I bought a signed RVD jakks figure from his ebay shop a few years ago and over time dust and stuff attacked is and the autograph is barely visible now. Many thanks

Keep it out of sunlight. Even regular light will fade it after enough time

I keep mine in a a temperature regulated room with no sunlight and low regular light. Pretty much light and temperature is what hurts them I think.

Use led lights and keep out of sun and normal light also use canned air to keep it dust free.

Same as others have said, I keep mine stored away right now until I figure out a way to display them all, but the couple I have displayed right now I either have them in Defender Cases or Ballqube Cereal Boxes.

Would hairspray or something work to help seal it? Maybe not just an idea.

Im sure a citadel, vallejo or Tamiya matt seal would work to protect it but sunlight should be avoided at all times.

Yeah be careful about sunlight. I'm annoyed because I have awesome Mattel autos of Jake, DDP and Steamboat using paint pen but it turns out the sun from a nearby window got them to fade into lighter colors pretty quickly. Still look fine but I preferred them the original way. Live and learn.

From my experience. Figures signed with regular sharpies do fade over time. The paint pens work way better. I've had some signed for 10 years and they haven't faded at all.
