I was at Summerslam when Bryan Beat Cena for the title and HHH pedigree'd him for Orton to cash in. Jump to now.... Imagine if Shinsuke Nakamura beat Jinder Mahal for the title.... and Daniel Bryan came out to congratulate him. Baron Corbin comes out and holds up the briefcase as Shinsuke tells him to come to the ring. Corbin turns his back, and as Shinsuke turns around Bryan hits him with a flying knee. Corbin rushes in, Bryan calls for the bell, Corbin hits the end of days and wins the title.
I know with the no contact in effect for Bryan this can't happen... but it would make for a good storyline with Bryan and Nakamura in the future...

There's been enough heel authority figures for the last decade. Let's leave the one decent face one alone.

I don't want to imagine that.

You know that moment where you are trying to decide between brutally honest or just humoring someone?
Cause that's where I'm at right now.
The plain Jason in me wants to say, "No! That's f***ing stupid". But the WWE mod in me thinks I should say "Yeah man, that's great!".
Hmm... I'll get back to you on this... eventually.

Corbin is a guy that dominates most of his matches so it would make no sense for someone to help him.
Having said that Bryan seriously needs a shakeup. He has done nothing interesting since the mini Miz feud earlier in the year.

I'd rather not imagine that, thank you.

Why? Why would that happen? Nakamura could defeat Corbin but will NEVER get any kind of revenge against Bryan.

That idea and a heel Daniel Bryan is stupid. He can never be a heel again, he's toooo over.
But Vince would probably love it.

It's always nice when Vince Russo can contribute to these boards. I know he's out of work but I'm happy he still has a voice.

since this is such a popular idea.... The Tuesday after Summerslam, Bryan opens the show in the middle of the ring without the "Yes" entrance. to "explain" himself, he say's he's the GM of Smackdown and he doesn't have to... but he will... he talks about how HHH cost him the title at Summerslam and that he told him in the back after the show that it was "best for business" and he was right, and that's what this was. He calls out Shinsuke, and blames him for injuring other superstars, and that he's just "dangerous" and a liability. As Shinsuke and Bryan argue... John Cena's music hits and he comes out and defends Shinsuke and Bryan argues that he's just protecting guys like him from getting injured. As Bryan and Cena argue, Shinsuke does his dance. Cena sees this, and pushes Bryan out of the way, getting a kinshasa as a result. Bryan rolls out of the ring and heads to the back for the first commercial break...

File this under "things that would cause me to stop watching WWE forever" You would stop watching if Daniel Bryan turned heel? Seriously.

I don't get why ideas that are an element of surprise are compared to Russo's stuff. We get the same thing every week so I would happily welcome something different.

File this under "things that would cause me to stop watching WWE forever" You would stop watching if Daniel Bryan turned heel? Seriously. There's a difference between 'turning heel' and 'turning heel in the stupidest way imaginable'.

File this under "things that would cause me to stop watching WWE forever" You would stop watching if Daniel Bryan turned heel? Seriously. I would quit watching if for no reason they turned Daniel Bryan into yet another heel authority figure with no possibility for a payoff. When Triple H screwed Bryan you knew there was going to lead to a match between the two. You know Bryan/Nakamura wouldn't happen so why do it? And on top of that it would be yet another instance of turning a hugely popular act heel because everyone has to have heat. I'm dangerously close to giving up on this company as is, it would be a brutal idea like this that is entirely likely to be the reason I give up on watching this company.
