OP - screw your collection ambience. Just buy the Elites. They're not perfect but definitely better than no Dudleys*
*Unless you don't want Dudleys in your collection. Then they're NOT better than no Dudleys

I was hoping we got a flashback set of these. Especially if they were tye dye. I wonder if they'll sign to a legends deal or merchandise since they seem to be in good terms and Dvon still works for them

I would have loved to get the tie dye look at some point, but for all intents and purposes the Elites (and battle pack) could both pass for Attitude Era figures. Assuming the Mattel license carries on for a while, I think we'll see them under a Legends deal at some point. Bubba can't have many more in-ring years left in the tank, and could be a great fit at the Performance Center or as an agent.

Bubba can still wrestle. I'm more concerned that we didn't get an elite Flashback RVD.

Maybe Mattel was just figuring they'd be around longer. That's why we got the lame modern versions first, to string us along until they made the Attitude era and ECW tie dye versions we actually wanted. Agreed with RVD. Travesty we only got one Elite and it was modern. It was the same mistake with Hogan. Too many bad assumptions on Mattel's part.

In Hogan's case, neither Mattel or WWE would had guessed that Hulk's racist pillow talk would go public and ruin his brand. They, like everyone else, assumed he was going to be drama free for years to come after returning to WWE.

as the subject says I did buy the elites thinking they were flashbacks but I returned them, also does anyone know what happened to the rumoured Mania battle packs, I know they were changed for Dollar Man and Dibiase but you cant tell me that these were more popular than the Dudley Boyz would have been. I'm not surprised we didn't get anymore than we did. You'll prolly have to wait until they go into the HOF to get flashbacks now. Still, it's not like these elites don't serve well as flashbacks in the first place. They don't serve well! Too many tattoes and not enough hair! Curse you!

I never order their Elites cause I figured I'd buy them in stores. NEVER saw either of them. Then I decided not to order them because I figured we'd eventually get Flashback versions. Now that I'm pretty sure it's not gonna happen, I really do need to pull the trigger on them.

I would like classic Dudley Boys elites... specifically blue camouflage and ECW tie-dyed shirts. I don't think Mattel is worried about getting many desired figures out. I know is been nearly 10 years, but for longevity sakes, it makes sense to stall on desired figures.

Mattel needs to make new molds. Not a fan of skinny Bubba and tiny Devon torso.

Bubba - hair style, goatee vs beard, didn't have tattoos in attitude, wore a tshirt underneath in Attitude, elbow pads in Attitude D'Von - had less tattoos, had hair both - designs on shirt
