These are store exclusives, specific to Walmart. I first found these on February 7 of this year. Here it is, nearly seven months later and Walmart is still ordering them. Why are they "warming" you ask? Not because of necessarily who they are, but because Mattel has yet to offer a new assortment to replace these.
These exclusives are intended to supplement the main waves, but what we've seen from the HOF in Target, TNF in Walmart and NS in Toysrus, Elites vanish, are not replenished, and these get ordered the way Elites should This is an absolutely beautiful response. I want as many people as possible to get the chance to see this statement. This post should be the end of the thread.

If they made lesser amounts, the would have less profit. But if there is too much supply and not enough demand - which seems to be the case with a lot of figures - it screws everything up. Mattel does have a bigger budget, which makes for better figures, but also makes for increased sales expectations. I wish it would all get sorted out, but business in the real world is messy. And it's not like Hasbro or other toy companies don't make distribution mistakes all the time, either. It makes me wonder how some of these people have jobs.

All my Walmart has is Earthquake and Typhoon. I need Jordan and Gable but they will likely never arrive.

You've hit the nail on the head, great comment!
This is exactly what is happening, these retailers are focusing solely on their exclusives and the main elite line is getting left out. This needs to be addressed by Mattel IMO as it's having a direct impact on the line and is most likely the reason why distribution is so crappy at retail. The retailers are trying to compensate for the extra $$ they shelled out for the exclusive by stocking twice as much of these sets as they normally would for the mainline elites. Unfortunately for them (and by extension us collectors) the current demand does not appear to be as high as the supply which is resulting in shelves getting clogged up with the same figures. As has been mentioned in this thread, the problem is not that Earthquake & Typhoon are warming but rather that Walmart has ordered TOO MANY cases of this set and those who want these figures have already purchased them.
I recently visited a TRU in a nearby city and it was loaded with Network Spotlight figures. They have 6 full pegs of NS Hunter Hearst Helmsley, 3 pegs of Ringmaster and 3 pegs of NS Undertaker- this is insane! We have not seen any many line elites here in Canada in over year, WM & TRU recently stocked E44 which is a year old. I doubt very much that many of those figures will sell (at least not the HHH figs), these will just clog up shelves forever since TRU here does not like to clearance out old figures and the end result will be no new product coming in.

There are 7 Walmarts within driving distance of me. 0 have Natural Disasters. All of them have Sami Zayn WOW! I have 9 Walmarts in my area. All have Natural Disasters...ZERO Sami Zayn. Hell, Macho Man more available than Zayn. I think I have seen Zayn twice ever.

Ha, funny I find this thread after being pissed the Walmart up the street from me has had these two rotting on the shelves since April. That's it, they haven't gotten any new elites since because these are clogging things up. The basics change all the time, but these are a nightmare.
It also doesn't help some clown stole the belt on one and returned it with a Jakks Bam Bam Bigelow with a Fit Finlay head. That ugly abomination is NEVER selling lol. I even brought it to the attention of a worker in the section while they were doing a total reset. I explained to them that somebody returned it with the wrong figure and to take it off the shelves because it's been there for months. They said "they'd take care of it" and I come back a week and a half later to see that damn thing hanging on the pegs again!! I was so mad I just took it and hid it somewhere on the top shelf randomly.
I'm NEVER going to find American Alpha in stores unless I go to another walmart LOL.

I wish the phrase "its warming the pegs" would die a slow painful death like my dad did.

I think what also hurt sales of the Natural Disasters is that the classic tag belts aren't really that much in demand. A couple of years ago someone would've bought multiples of each just for the belts. Or if someone were on the fence about getting them, the lure of the tag belts may have been enough to get someone to pull the trigger. With 123 Kid coming with one and easily found for around $10, Yokozuna coming with 2 and frequently on sale for $10, and Hart Foundation commonly found at Big Lots for $10 each, people have been able to stock up on this accessory.

Except at my Walmart, where an Earthquake & Typhoon both sit there with the tag titles stolen out of them. Now an already unpopular set of figures will never have a chance of being sold.

Make flashbacks of people who are actually relevant They are relevant, don't be a dick cause you didn't watch then. some of the comments lately are ridiculous, just cause you weren't a fan or alive at the time. I've noticed that a lot lately. "Younger" forum members or members who are super into WWE's current product keep trashing Mattel every time a legends/flashback is announced. Look there's a lot of people who never watch NXT or could care less about the latest indie talent, we don't go into their threads or create threads to bash Mattel for making NXT figures. We'll hear how they "shelf warm" or they go for cheap on amazon. But if you go to the store current roster figs are sitting on the shelves the same, amazon right now has a bunch of the current talents for $10 right now. People need to understand Mattel is making something for everyone and if you don't like it, don't buy it or don't click the threads. And for the last time, any figure will sell if it's distributed correctly.

This is literally every Walmart near me. I saw a Macho Man too recently. Yet no TNF series 3'to be found. The Sami was the hardest to get in the series around here. Been looking for series 3 now for weeks and NOTHING.

The thing that sucks is that all but one Quake has had the title belts taken, and the packages torn up. They are still charging full price for them though. If they'd drop the price, I'd probably get them, as don't really need the belts. But I don't want to pay full price for an incomplete figure just out of principle. I went to a TRU and purchased a 123 Kid who was missing the title. I brought it to their attention and offered to buy it at a discount. They cut the price in half for me. Elite Kid for $10 sans the title. All I had to do was ask. Maybe they have more wiggle room to adjust the prices for customers, though. Just don't ask at Walmart. I did that once and was told they can return them to Mattel for a full refund so why would they give me a discount. I kid you not. Yet, 8 months later and it's still on the shelf there. It's so weird near me as some Walmarts are great, with great enployees. Others have employees that would rather kill themselves than talk to another human being or have to do anything.

Quake should have come with a Jimmy Hart Disasters blazer and arms and Typhoon the megaphone and wayfarers.
Same with IRS, Nastys, etc.

Just sounds like Walmart is the worst for distributing anything WWE. Why don't they clearance stuff when it's sitting there for months? So thrilled that S2 of the retros will be the last set of those exclusive to walmart.
I'm only buying the retro line, but I notice the other lines too and nothing seems to change much over the weeks. Same stuff seems to sit there, nothing new coming in much for any lines.

Nearest Wal-Mart to me had only a couple each of Earthquake and Typhoon, and all the belts were taken. Literally. All 4 or 5 they had, not one belt.
