Just a quick update for all the Retro collectors on here, Mattel have just replied to my tweet regarding the possibility of additional Retro releases anytime soon...
"We'll be rolling out new additions throughout the year, & we'll be adding even more in 2018! Keep checking our site for info."
I guess we all kind of knew/ hoped for this but it's now official! Happy to hear the line is continuing and looking forward to the next reveals. Let the guessing game commence!

Glad to hear it. Also good to hear that a sub-line has finally paid off for Mattel.

Didn't Bill already say the line was moving forward into 2018 in the Q&A and RSC did put series 3 up for pre-order.

Yeah, I agree, I think the main selling point of these is the nostalgia in the design and they certainly aren't the best figures they've ever produced but I loved the Hasbro's so I'm glad to see there's a good following for them. The Rumblers were pretty cool and it's always nice to see a line that's a little different from the main figures designs, despite them being more aesthetically pleasing!

If I saw more Retros instead of zombies at retailers I'd be a happy camper.

Seeing that they are no longer going to be Walmart exclusive just made my night! I would love if series starts popping up at other retailers.

They are pretty plain. They are extremely plain, and the carding is not the greatest. I wish they would add more of a Hasbro look to the cards, and just some brighter figures. Too much dark clothing.

I think the quality of the cards/ bubbles frustrates me as much as anything as they're so easy to get damaged. I'm hoping the lack of colour to the figures is, in some part, as they haven't done many of the 'Hasbro' era guys yet. The attires worn by the likes of Owens/ Reigns are always gonna be a lot darker than, say, The Rockers or Macho Man! Hopefully, we get a bit more colour in the coming releases, after the 4 we already know about.

The darker design of the cards etc has got me thinking, how cool would it be if Mattel changed the backing card colour for later Series, notably Series 6 onwards (if they went this far). It'd be just like the Hasbro's in that sense. Imagine an Orange, Green or Yellow backing card in a year or so, it'd really freshen things up and make each new Series even more highly anticipated!
... and we want a ring, still!

So, I'm guessing they aren't going with larger slower series releases, but rapid smaller series releases? I'm cool with that. And I'm glad to be out of the death grip of Walmart. They botched this. Sorry. More in 2017 is awesome.. ..but someone better tell Vince we need Diesel. He didn't know about Scarface in the mid-1990's, so he may need some help realizing this Orange Card love is a thing lol.

Great.
Now we just need Mattel to actually start making Hasbro era legends............. If this line ends without us getting Diesel, USA Luger, Tatanka, Hart Foundation Bret&Jim, Jerry Lawler, Tugboat, R&B Greg etc I'ma be annoyed as fudge.
