Nope it's totally not assault man, assault is totally different when it comes to shows/events than just being out in the public and getting hit by someone random. Btw here's the vid of Kevin Owens, much worse than Kyle O' Reilly. Sorry I'm not convinced. What if he killed the guy? What if the guy got permanent brain damage? You're telling me the kicker and the company couldn't be held liable? I have a hard time believing that. They are allowed to but I don't know how many actually get involved. I think most of the time they just let security handle it. Or security gets them before they are fully in the ring. It's a slippery thing. They are defending themselves but honestly I have been in a ring and don't think I would kick someone in the head/face, especially like you said because it can possibly kill/have long term effects. There are other ways of doing it

He shouldn't have kicked him. He could've permanently hurt or killed the guy. Again he had no choice. He had no way orf knowing he had a weapon. Stop defending stupid fans.

There are other ways of doing it If dude slides into the ring, it's really easy to start with a kick to the head as clearly evidenced by the video posted there. I really don't know what people are expecting O'Reilly to do. If security was relaxed enough to the point where the guy got into the ring, is he supposed to trust that they're going to react in time to get him out of there or should he not just do it himself? You cross the barricade I'm pretty sure that's trespassing. Your ticket doesn't gain you access to go anywhere you want without repercussions and self defense is a thing. So no I am pretty sure the company wouldn't be held liable or else there would have been successful lawsuits from the guy that jumped the ring and got the crap kicked out of him by Eddie Guerrero for starters.

Can't be bothered looking through 4 pages. But the fact that there are people saying he shouldn't have kicked him is sensational. To me this is no different to a stranger breaking in and entering your house. A stranger has no ing business coming into your home and a fan has no business jumping the rail and attempting to get in the ring, regardless of what his or her intentions are. You don't know what's on their mind when they come at you, all you'd be thinking about is your own safety so I absolutely commend this guy for doing what he did because I would have done the exact same ing thing. Chris Jericho has talked about this before and has said that he'd beat the sh*t out of anyone if they tried to get in the ring while he's in it. And has also stated that he's been told by the police themselves that he'd be well within his rights to do so. In fact here is talking about this very subject:

I'd like the final say before it's locked. He shouldn't have kicked him. It was the wrong thing to do.

Nobody thought Dime was going to get shot either... Scary thing about that show. I missed a call from a friend who had tickets and offering to take me with him. Neither of us went down.

I'd like the final say before it's locked. He shouldn't have kicked him. It was the wrong thing to do. Too bad because in my opinion it was absolutely the right thing to do for his own safety. Listen to that Jericho video I posted, put yourself in the wrestler's shoes and have a good think about it.

Nobody thought Dime was going to get shot either... You just don't understand, he may have hurt the poor fan. Kyle O'Reilly should've ran up and hugged him instead.

Oh and I do get the final say...
If you don't want to get kicked in the head by a professional, don't go into the ring.
If you don't want to get hit by Blake Shelton, don't run onto the set of The Voice.
If you don't want to get attacked by the gorillas at the zoo, don't jump the fence.
In other words, if you don't want to look like an idiot, don't be an idiot. Stay in you lane.
