I got out a few years ago....sold 90% of my collection at a profit-I kept the figs which I truly loved, not necessarily valuable-just the ones I personally liked. Since then, I have bought selected figs here and there, but nothing like before. So...the urge to get? Yes definitely, sooner or later most folks here get this feeling but I would never get rid of everything just to start completely over.....that is dumb. I was lucky, most folks with a big collection will NEVER break even, much less make a profit...for me, it was timing and I have NEVER regretted getting out. The only regret I have is not making ELITE trader status....got close, but never made it.

Sounds nuts to me. I'd just end up re-buying most of the stuff I got rid of.

Over the last six weeks or so I've sold off about 80% of my old Jakks Classic Superstars. I was lucky to find a guy pretty locally who bought a big chunk of my collection without having to go through ebay. I've actually made good money despite hearing all the time that they weren't worth much anymore. Its been a real buzz selling them, and so far I have no regrets. The only ones i'm keeping are my Ultimate Warriors. The only problem is, it's given me a license to spend a ton of the money I've made on more Mattels! I really need to calm down. I've also decided to sell all my current roster guys except the Demon Balors because they are cool.

Actually I'm about to sell off my Golden, New Generation, and current figs and just keep and continue to collect my Attitude and Ruthless Aggression era guys. Collection is starting to take up too much space, so I thought it was time to refocus and specialize what I have.

I'm actually in the process of selling off my elites (been collecting since early 2011). I kept a few. I also have most of them loose too. Those I'm gonna sell off too at some point. I'm also using some of the money I made to buy some figures I may have missed out on. So far I only regret maybe 2 or 3 figures I sold off.
But I totally get where you're coming from.

I am often finding myself thinking about selling it all and just collecting Hasbro MOC and/or Hot Toys

The biggest mistake people make in collecting wwe figures is buying too many versions of the same character, you will run out of space and it becomes a pain in the ass having to dust everything. I only collect elites, I have a complete flashback/legends collection and while I do have some versions of the same character its only for guys like Shawn Michaels, Warrior and Macho Man.
I wouldnt sell my collection but I do find myself running out of room which is a worry.

Dumbest idea I've heard.
What a waste, to sell only to buy it all again. Really dumb
