Guys I want this Goldberg elite figure... but is it worth spending that much to get the rig with it too?.. it’s currently the 2nd best selling at ringside... what do you guys think?

Just wait until a MNW Goldberg is released.

If you just want Goldberg, no, if you want the ring, sure. I was happy to upgrade my WCT Ring to this one so I don't have buyer's remorse.

I bought the Goldberg fig off Ebay. No ring. I don’t need the ring. Paid 70$ for the Goldberg. I’m happy with the fig. It’s what happens when your impatient for a goldberg elite to come out in 2018 lol So you bought JUST the figure for $70 when if you weren't so stingy and spent an extra 30 you coulda got a ring with it among other cool accessories? Whatever floats your boat dude...

$110 isn’t worth dropping on any figure imo.

The ring is amazing IMO, Mattel finally hit the Elite scale! Goldberg was a nice bonus.

I had reservations about this ring. I ended up getting it as Smyths had an offer on. Honestly the scale does not bother me, it is actually better if you want to play with it as your wrists don't sit on the ropes. Very glad I picked it up. Seems a sturdy ring too and the Goldberg figure is excellent imo. I don't think we will get another current Goldberg elite so glad I got mine. I'm expecting a young elite goldberg and perhaps a basic current Goldberg in the future so if grab it if you really want it while you can.

No, no Mattel figure is worth $100. I pay $100 for 18 inch highly detailed figures from NECA.....not mass produced 6 inch scale figure that has generic body parts and a questionable head scan with a sloppy paintjob.
This ring with the Goldberg figure was a cash grab by Mattel. The fact that they used ringposts and turnbuckles that are the scale and quality of the kids Basic Spring ring is insulting. Again, Mattel was hoping that people would bite the bullet on this because it's the only way to get Goldberg right now, and it's not a coincidence that Goldberg is not in any other series at the moment because if you could snag him on his own for $20, nobody would buy the ring...so it was a clear move made on purpose by Mattel.
They are a company, their objective is to make money, I get it.

no. I'm sure we will get a classic Goldberg next year and that will be good enough for me. Hopefully its the next entrance great. Eventually hoping for a OldBerg basic BP down the road in a 2 pack with Lesnar or something.

If you don't want the ring, don't let Mattel win this round.

If you don't value money then by all means blow $120 plus tax at toysrus.
Apparently there are 7 people on this forum that think that way.
I'm just curious if toysrus will send the ring sets with stolen goldberg figures back to mattel.

It would be worth it if it was a WCW ring with a WCW Goldberg

If you REALLY want this Goldberg figure, your best bet is to probably buy it loose/separately on eBay... there will no doubt be more Goldbergs in the future though if you don't mind waiting.

It's your money. Spend it how you want. Personally I wouldn't do it. I also wouldn't pay over 30 bucks for a figure no matter how rare. A regular Goldberg elite is in the horizon. Mattel knows that if they want to sell that ring, they got give you something exclusive to make you want it. Jakks did the same thing.

The ring is absolute crap If the ringposts were 3/4 of an inch taller and the turnbuckles were the same as the ESR Mattel did back in 2010 or the ASR that has been out the last few years, then the ring would have been fine.....but the posts/turnbuckles are a deal breaker for me. You can't advertise something as being SCALE when the top rope goes barely over the figures asses when in real life it's at lest mid back on most guys.
