Daniel Bryan tweeted :
There was a time when WWE wouldn't let @realkurtangle compete. Tonight he won a PPV main event in a TLC match #SoYourSayingTheresAChance
Has anyone else felt like since the whole storyline with the Miz took place on talking smack that WWE had to be going somewhere with it? I feel like, they constantly let Bryan get berated and put down on TV bc he can't wrestle anymore . . .For them to do that is really quite unintelligent ( if they really are going to keep him retired ) because if they are in fact not going to clear him, when his contract is up he's going straight to the indies. He is going to be perhaps the biggest draw in independent wrestling history. To me, WWE would not want the bad PR showing WWE wouldn't let him compete, now look, he has single handily made real competition for them. Cody Rhodes has paved the way for these Indy stars to start making real serious money. Between, Bryan, Rhodes & Neville, that is three guys who could really start a rally to make completion for WWE. Now, WWE will always be number one, I think that's obvious, but they have to realize that where they will always be number one in terms of money, they will probably start having to compete for talent.
How does everyone feel the Daniel Bryan saga will play out? With Angle finally being cleared to wrestle . . . is there a possibility Bryan will get his green light for a part time return in WWE too?

I think so long as Roman is getting this push, they aren't going to do anything that could hinder their plans. It's going to be like 2014 all over again where Batista came back and no one gave a flying f word and only wanted Dan Bryan, I think they are trying to prevent that. I did read some silly rumor that they don't want to bring him back because it will cramp the push Roman is getting, but in 2017 WWE that mentality wouldn't surprise me. And if Brock is still champion and if he ever were to go up against him there could be legitimate concerns that he takes a German Suplex wrong and hits his noggin he could get injured again, but I think that is less of a concern over that wet haired turd they're pushing.
Then on Smackdown you can't bring him back because they need Jinder to be their face for public relations in India, so they're probably keeping that going until 2018 at least.
Then once again back on Raw, they seemingly don't want anyone besides the Miz to be a part-time defending Intercontinental champion so he can't be upper mid-card there, not until Miz breaks more useless records. He's only got about 120 days to go until he beats Pedro Morales' record to be the longest combined reigning champion, so once he breaks that record and lets it go a little bit, he'll drop the belt. Much like once Asuka broke Goldberg's record shortly after she suddenly dropped the NXT belt and made the main roster debut.
He does have great potential competitions with Allen Styles, Prince Balor, and Shinsuke, but I think people will want him to be a face of the company kinda champion more so.

I live in hope that its one huge angle that'll lead to a Daniel Bryan return, maybe only as a part timer. It seems very harsh to bash him for being forced into retirement considering how much he loved wrestling, and how he could walk away and wrestle in one of the other companies and more than likely be the highest paid indy star in history, but then again WWE allowed Orton to mock the recently deceased Eddie during the run up to the triple threat at Mania 22, And the whole CM Punk and Paul Bearer thing. Could just be WWE getting guys like Miz over as a heel, anyone who mocks a guy thats suffered career ending injuries isnt gonna get cheered.

If it was anything other than a concussion, probably. But they wouldn't risk it, considering the ongoing lawsuits and the bad PR they'd get.
A big thing as well is Kurt seemed pretty messed up, movement-wise. Bryan could still move around like he always did, so he'd be doing all the stupid dives and stuff that would increase his chances of a bad bump on the head. WWE couldn't really trust him to work safe.

WWE are between a rock and a hard place with Bryan Either they let him wrestle again, which means crowds will get behind him again and the many attempts of pushing Reigns hits another roadblock. Or they let him leave and he goes to wrestle in ROH, PWG, NJPW and they do another thing they hate, give the Indies more star power. They sign anyone under the sun and overcrowd NXT just to try and kill down the Indie scene abit. So to let Bryan go out there, have matches against Sabre Jr, Omega, Okada, Young Bucks and so on. They gave the Indies more than the Indies ever gave WWE. Damned if you do, damned if you don't for WWE. I personally think he will leave and hit the Indie scene big time, work the dates he wants to and put on 5 star matches the world around.

Bryan is going to wrestle again. I doubt it's for WWE, though.

I very much doubt it. Bryan happens to have been retired by the injury that receives more media converage than any in professional sports, and it's only going to get worse. Not to mention, WWE has a litany of pending lawsuits from former wrestlers claiming to be suffering from CTE as a result of their pro wrestling career. If they allow Daniel Bryan to wrestle under their watch again, it's going to be the go-to example legal teams use to paint WWE as irresponsible.
I'm sure WWE would rather Bryan wrestle under their umbrella, all things considered, but I just don't see any way they can allow it to happen.

Nothing annoys me more than the notion that Bryan is forced into retirement to make Roman more popular. I'd love to have Bryan back. He was fun to watch. But Bryan is not the first wrestler forced into retirement. Both Edge & Christian were forced out, but nobody claims it was done to make Cena or Orton more over. But because some fans want to make it about Roman, they started a witch hunt. Just like those goofs that said he failed a second wellness violation and was forced to miss TLC. Meanwhile others missed too, but that's okay.
If I had to guess, it has everything to do with the lawsuits against WWE and the attention on concussions in the media. IF WWE let Bryan go out there to wrestle, and he got legitimately hurt, it would be all over CNN, Fox, and any other media outlets trying to destroy professional wrestling. It would add more fuel to the lawsuits and it could cripple the entire company. Any smart business owner has to protect their company first.

Do people actually believe that the WWE retired a healthy Bryan to favour Roman?
LOL I've heard it all now.

I don't think Angle wrestling does anything for Bryan. I think the only positive from TLC is that Kurt actually passed the physical and did a match and did not hurt himself so the door is always open for Kurt to have another match in the future.
But again, it doesn't do anything for Daniel Bryan. Two different people, different physical conditions. It doesn't change the reason why WWE won't let Daniel Bryan in the ring. Kurt wrestling doesn't make it any less risky for Bryan.
