Maybe Asuka doesn't get the Edge hype.

I didnt like Asuka stealing the Ankle Lock either, but Kurt Angle himself stole it from Ken Shamrock

It's a totally understandable opinion. Especially when Edge is one of those guys who knows his crap.

Totally agree, I mean Asuka's decent for what its worth, but the overhype is going to kill her in the long run. I mean look at the Four Horsewomen, overhyped like crazy when they arrived, now all four of them are arguably doing absolutely nothing of note on either show. Its only so long before the flame burns out.

While I agree about the ankle lock part (cause I thought the same thing), I don't agree with anything else. They even said they haven't seen a full match of hers till he PPV debut last week. IMO she's the most entertaining female talent I've seen in 30+ years watching wrestling.

It's not a coincidence that the Four Horsewomen were driven into the ground as soon as they got to the mediocrity of the main roster.

I agree with Edge on this one.
I am not impressed with her, even from her NXT days.
I hope that Vince jobs her out in months time, so she can be just as equal as the rest of the women on Raw.

I agree with Edge here. I haven’t gotten the hype from the very beginning, and I’ve seen better female in ring performers. I agree on the ankle lock thing too.

Asuka's main problem is that she's overhyped and that could ruin her. Take Bayley and Sasha for example they were treated like the greatest thing ever but now fans don't care because they didn't live up to their expectations.
Now let's look at Becky. She was overshadowed by the rest of the Horsewomen and at present her fire is still burning despite bad booking.

I don't get the hype either. She looks sloppy as hell in the ring

She’s boring as hell. My favorite matches of her are the multi women matches from the Takeover’s earlier this year. She’s too overhyped.

Asuka has the pre-debut Dean Ambrose problem. People have built her up so heavily and praised her as the second coming of Christ that no matter what she does, she will let people down. Ambrose had this problem around early 2012, where people were singing his praises. "Oh he will save wrestling!" "When this dude debuts it will be like a new attitude era!" "He is the best wrestler to ever set foot in this company!" And like, Ambrose is great and all. Arguably the best asset the company has since he can work with anyone and anything and make it work. But oh boy, he wasn't all that, was he? Asuka has this problem. It will hurt her. Not today, not tomorrow, not next month either. But eventually.

Yeah but Edge thinks that they should build the division around Nia Jax, so he may not be the best judge on the current womens division.
