I kinda figured that would be the only way he’d get called up, but kinda disappointing. He should definitely kick Enzo’s face in and take the title as soon as he gets there.

He's been injured to much so I can see why Vince stuck him on that show. If I was Hideo, I'd just leave WWE because it's basically set in stone that he's gonna be stuck there. Just like Aries, and just like Neville. Quit while you're ahead Hideo👏🏼

He didn't really impress in NXT.

Does anyone think he can somehow regain his Kenta mystique? He is too good to just fade away.

Gotta be honest, I want a Itami vs Kalisto in a good back and forth match up. As long as neither talks, it could be great.
Rumor is they also want Rockstar Spud to 205 also. He just left TNA, so sounds plausible. He always seemed entertaining. And 205 can use some fresh faces with a good character.

It's funny, last night there was a Monday Night War episode on, and Jericho said, "in WCW where you come in at, is where they see you will always remain, you can't go up higher than that." And that is exactly what the WWE does now. It's like the WWE is copying everything WCW did 20 years ago, and that's not a good idea. You can't build new stars when you keep them in one division.
No wonder Neville and Aries left. Aries should have been the one to end Neville's reign first of all, and secondly, both men deserved to be going after the US or IC Titles.

Even though I find him a bit rubbish in the ring, I do agree that they need better characters. They have great talent like TJP, Swann, Cedric, and Tozawa, but the problem is those guys can’t cut a promo to save their lives. There’s no interesting characters to grab the casual viewer. That’s why Enzo, whether people like it or not, was great for the division. If it weren’t for Neville, Aries, and Enzo idk how in the world that thing would be watchable.

It's a good move for him. He was finally getting the hang of NXT and the WWE style and then he got hurt. He was out of sight, out of mind. When he returned there was absolutely no way he was going to pick up his momentum where he left off, and NXT had honestly evolved from that place anyway. 205 Live allows him to largely showoff his in-ring ability and knee people in the face. Had Angle brought Itami out, instead of Kalisto, a few weeks ago, he'd be the star babyface of that show. I just want to see Rollins vs Itami Part II. So at least that door will be open. I'd like to see Itami be a dick heel and strapped with a great mouthpiece. Take over that Neville persona, of sorts.

Forgot he was still employed! No real loss to either raw ir smackdown anyway. Sure if he goes to 205 live (or anywhere else for that matter) he'll end up injured again within a couple of weeks.

This is honestly good.
This is what we need to legitimize the cruiserweight division. Guys like Itami, Kalisto, Enzo, Neville. These established superstars coming in to the division will give it legitimacy.
We need more stars like this to join the division.

Saddens me that so many want 205 to fail. What makes it worse is that those that do, usually are the ones who don't even watch it. It's not a bad show. They just need to add some new faces to the division, maybe have Kurt Angle appear on the show from time to time, and start to let more of their personalities shine through. Besides that, the action is usually pretty good.

I don't mind the idea of Itami starting in 205. It's better for him than being stuck in somewhat of a purgatory in NXT, since his time there has kinda passed him by. But I hope WWE eventually cuts out this entire separation between the 205 roster and the rest of the RAW roster. There's no good reason why they shouldn't be able to have matches with main roster talent.

Jinder is also like 6'4" and just happened to bulk up during a time when the WWE would need him to represent his people. When Cedric Alexander wins the IC Title on Raw, then you can argue your case.

Besides that, the action is usually pretty good. Everything else sucks. Why should I go out of my way to watch 205 Live every week? To see the tenth Davari vs. Tozawa match, another rousing promo for month three of another seemingly endless Kendrick feud? Maybe I should tune in ever week in the off chance Metaliks actually on. Forget how well Kalisto or Itami could do as upper mid-carders, stick them on 205 where no one seems to complain about people doing nothing. Hell stick Finn and Roddy on there too, I'm sure they'd do FANTASTIC being confined to a wasted, frankly pointless weight class.
