So if you are in the camp of those predicting Cena Vs. Mahal and Reigns Vs. Lesnar for Wrestlemania I hope you realize this means... Cena or Reigns will win the rumble...

Assuming Cena/Mahal is for the title.

It's gonna be Reigns. He's gonna be a four time rumble winner. Just wait and see. He already holds most eliminations in one rumble, he's hands down going to have total eliminations and most rumbles won by 2025.

Meh, honestly wouldn’t bother me. I can’t remember the last time I cared about a Royal Rumble winner and their build up to WrestleMania, I think it was Randy Orton in 2009.

Assuming Cena/Mahal is for the title. If its not for the title then it better be on the pre-show with heath slater as special guest referee

Crying about Cena and Reigns is old news. It's cooler to cry about Enzo Amore and Lio Rush right now.

Crying about Cena and Reigns is old news. It's cooler to cry about Enzo Amore and Lio Rush right now. I dont care if they main event WM - they are big draws for a reason. But one of them winning the rumble is so blah Its like the yankees winning the world series, sure its only happened 23% of the time, but it still feels like EVERY. TIME.

I dont really enjoy WrestleMania anymore, there are far better matches thrown in at random PPV's through the year. Mania has the name value, and has the part timers, which is the most interesting part, IMO WrestleMania should still use the "showcase of the immortals" tag line, to me when a card has / possibly has the likes of Undertaker, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Sting, Hall and Nash, Jericho, The Rock, Brock Lesnar all on the card thats what gets me to buy in, not the Miz vs Randy Orton, or Mahal vs Cena, or Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins.

The Mania title match means that the Rumble is almost always pretty predictable. If it's someone other than Cena or Reigns, it makes the Mania title match seem pretty midcardy, like when Orton won it this year. Rumble 2018 could have been different if Braun or Nakamura (if he was less of a flop) won it, but both of those guys have already had title matches with the champ of their brand and lost. I still think there's a chance of AJ vs Nakamura being the SmackDown title match. Mostly because I'm not sure how long Cena will be around after Mania to drop the belt once he wins it, but they could always do that the next episode of TV.

Not surprised.
Reigns main events his fourth main event in a row while others who are worthy still yet to have a shot. I have no interest in Reigns vs Brock whatsoever. But boy, Mahal/Cena sounds absolutely dreadful. I haven’t liked a single WM main event since WM30, and Bryan wasn’t even supposed to win. So aside from WM30, every main event has been crap since 28.

I'm not totally sold on them doing Mahal/Cena for sure. I still think there's a chance we see Styles/Nakamura.
If that's the case, the right thing to do would be to have one of them (whoever isn't the champion) win the Rumble to mitigate some of the backlash regarding the Lesnar/Reigns main event. The Rumble has become one of the biggest disappointments year after year after year, it would be nice to get a one year break from that.

I think Cena will be winning the Rumble for sure.
But a lot can happen by then. I'm still kind of seeing AJ winning it some way on the road to WM and then Shinsuke winning the Royal Rumble, and then I'm hoping for Jinder Vs Jericho at WrestleMania. I have no idea why I want a Y2J/Jinder match, but I just think it sounds like a good undercard Mania match, and of course, AJ Vs Shinsuke would be incredible. That does leave a spot for Cena somewhere else, and I'm not sure where he would fit in. I guess he could go anywhere following the car crash of a match he was involved in at WM33. I think a Cena Vs Roode would be awesome! I could also see a Cena Vs Sami Zayn match coming, following Zayn's new character.
We are far away from the event and really anything could happen! Let's just wait it out and see, and then complain when the smoke clears!

Quite a few people have, he's got quite a polarising personality. It didn't become the cool thing until recently though.

Either way, I'm just going to sit back and enjoy whatever happens. I'm not against either Cena or Reigns winning the Rumble - never thought I'd say that, but there you have it.

Unless, they do the Rumble FOR the Universal Championship.
And have Brock win.

They should challenge the writers. Vince should Just legit pick the RR winner by lottery. And not tell anyone but the last four in the rumble match who is winning. Really shake things up and make a new star if some goofy dude wins it. Gable winning would be awesome, Ellsworth winning would be awful but the writers would have an ultimate under dog story to write.
