1. I love to see the design concept images on paper first so we see what is coming. To me there is something so cool about the anticipation and seeing what is coming.
2. When we know there are NEW (never made by Mattel before) figures being introduced. For example, the additions of Kurt Angle, Hardy's, Mean Gene Okerlund, Wendi Richter, Jack Gallagher etc and any new Elite coming out adds to the diversity of my collection. Sometimes a new remake of a figure I look forward to because it's a better outfit or better sculpt. They get it right most of the time ... but like Jimmy Snuka or the Wild Somoans - I wish they would do better.
3. Then see how the actual figure looks from the design to reality. Hearing Q & A with Bill
4. Getting them in hand.
Those steps for me are all part of the enjoyment of collecting all figures but specifially here. During the time of LJN and Hasbro ... I used to call Hasbro and they would make photo copy's for me of what figures were coming out throughout the year. So cool.

Mattel used to make it more exciting with more communication here. Now we mostly only see coming product during toy shows/conventions. The inconsistency of the lines/lineups, quality and distribution have killed most of the excitement I used to feel. I'm now only happy when the figure is in hand and is satisfactory. I finally got my hof5 Piper three days ago after seeing it more than a year ago

The Human Wrecking Machine,
I hear what you are saying. It becomes more difficult to follow with the inconsistencies. That is why I am putting this out there to show what I enjoy and see if others ahre this opinion. I know there is production issues, shipping issues, stocking issues and some of that has nothing to do with Mattel. But what Mattel can control is the items I listed above. They could introduce NEW LINES at Toyfair and another time like Comic Con or Ringside ... I would be okay if they had unveilings 3 times a year. That way it keeps things fresh and gives us updates as to direction and things to look forward to.

I wish wwe/Mattel would give us more polls to vote on.

Yeah lately Mattel has been killing it. In five years of checking the wrestling toy aisle multiple times per week I’d say I got maybe...10 wrestlers in that time from an actual store. The last few weeks, I’ve got more than that and a new ring to boot.
Plus watching RAW I keep thinking about how excited I am for everything they’ve previewed, and announced.
Kurt, Miz, Matt Hardy, Elias, Roode, Randy, the list is endless...a glorious year ahead.
