Was it like she found it then showed the rest of you? Then if that's true then she's right for keeping it. Finders keepers. To me, a bit extreme of an exaggerated example, but imagine if you won on a scratchy lotto like $100,000 while out with your friends and your friends said you should split it all because they're there. I think I'd see a trail of smoke behind you as you're running down route 17 to get away.
Edit: I think it may sting, because you may be like me and if you find $100 while out with your friends I'm the type to buy a round of Cherry Cokes and Supreme Nacho apps for the table and blow it before I finish telling everyone I found it. I think its probably just unfair that of course the person who is financially the most well off gets the freebie, but at least none of you lost the $100.
Or was it a scenario where like two people saw it at the same time and she got it? Then she's a greedy brat.

I mean, if she alone was the one to spot it and grab it, I believe the age-old adage applies: finders keepers.

I don't believe anyone should be entitled to a piece of what their friend found simply because they were with them and feel the friend doesn't need it. If she wasn't the only one who originally saw it, then it's different, and I can understand viewing that as shady to snatch it up and try to keep it all for herself. Regardless, I would have also offered to at least treat everyone in some way and I can see how her not offering makes her seem somewhat stingy.

Why would it be fair that she split it just because she found it while she was out with other people?
If you guys have money to go out drinking, then $25 shouldn't be that big a deal, so why does her living arrangement and income factor into this?

Honestly she has no reason to split it because she was the one who stumbled across it. It doesn't matter how much she makes to be honest with you.

She was right in keeping it but if I was your friend I most Likely would have paid for the bar tab with it and said it's the money I found and kept the rest.

You have money, I want part of it.
Sounds like socialism to me.

Should’ve turned the money in to the local police department. You’re all thieves.
