So it's been a over a year since the WWE debuted the WWE Universal Championship. The reveal was met very negatively and not alot of good has been done with the Championship.
•What are your opinions on the Universal Championship now? •Has the design, specifically the red strap grown on you? •Do you think it has been booked well?
Also, I'm 50/50 on getting a replica version of it. Does anyone on here own one? If so, what is it like in person? Pic if possible?
Thanks for reading!

Its a terrible title thats booked terribly that for the most part has terrible champions
The red strap is kinda cool though. Id be open to have the Champion be duel branded but whatever his "home brand" is, is what color the strap would be.

I wasn't a fan of the belt when it was debuted, and I'm still not a fan of it. Going with the name of the Universal Title is a bit goofy, still to me. I guess the logic, well Smackdown has the World Title, so Raw will show them they're better by having the champion of the Universe! I just wish that they went the route of the first split, one has the WWE Title, one has the World Title. I still hate too, how basically the difference between the brand titles, is their strap color, minus the IC and US titles. I've always been a fan of championship belts, and I hate how uninspiring they are now. That was the nice thing with championships in the first split, was each title, had their own look. Not really a fan of the booking of the title either. Owen's run was pretty lackluster, then it got ended, so it could be used in the Goldberg/Lesnar feud. Kinda reminds me of Punk's title reign, even with the length, it was presented as weak, then he dropped it, so they could have it involved in the Cena/Rock Mania match. It doesn't help, you've had challengers, since Brock won it, that could have won it, and arguably should have won it from it, yet they just keep it on him again. I'm one of the people, who long ago has gotten tired of Lesnar, and having the second run with a title, doesn't help that.

The Universal Championship? That's the one part-timer Brock won from nostalgia act Goldberg at WM and is going to hold until the next WM, defending it about once every 2-3 months, right?
Sorry, I completely forgot about it. Like it doesn't even exist.
The WWE might as well never have created Universal Championship if they were going to book it so horribly.

Well for starters it's not even a World title and secondly it may aswell not even exist. For a new championship it has had the worst booking ever.
Why couldn't they have just brought back the big gold?

I️ still think the red strap it has looks terrible. If they really needed a red strap they should have gone with a darker shade. The straps on the tag titles look fine but the texture and shade is just off on this one.

The belt is cursed if you ask me for one reason or another.
Finn Balor - Injured right after winning the belt Kevin Owens - Extremely forgettable title reign, ultimately losing to a 50 year old part timer Goldberg - I love Goldberg, but a 50 year old part timer had no business winning the belt in 2017 Brock Lesnar - Part timer whose title reign has been detrimental to the development of guys like Joe, Braun, Finn, etc.

I am part of the minority who doesn't mind the way the championship looks. It almost feels like the same thing that happened in 1998 with the transition between the Winged Eagle to the Big Eagle Version I. The booking could have been better. I am a firm believer that Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg at WrestleMania XXXIII didn't need the championship. Surely, it is a benefit that Lesnar is having a long run as champion but it has been a detriment. It isn't fair for us to judge the Universal Championship until the championship has developed a legacy of its own. The name of the championship is quite simple. The universe is bigger than the world.

Joe or Strowman should have won the belt from him but instead it looks like we'll be getting WrestleMania 31's main event again except this time we won't have a Rollins shocking ending. When are they going to realise that Roman isn't over? They can say about his reaction all they want but he's getting X-Pac like heat in my opinion which never got him a main event run. Back to Lesnar! I honestly hope he's done come WrestleMania 34. Finn Bálor the first Universal Champion hasn't even got a rematch yet? Instead he was put in a dead fued with Wyatt who is a joke in my opinion.

People can go on and on about, 'but he's should a beast, it's so fun watching him throw people around.' Yeah, it was entertaining in 2012, but when it's the same damn thing, over and over, for 5 years, it gets really boring, really quick. Once his current deal is done, I hope he doesn't re-sign, and f's off back to Canada, and he can go hunting to his heart's content.

I like the way it looks. I hate the name. I also hate that brock has it and defends it every few months. I still think brining back the big gold title would be a better idea.

As mentioned above, its been booked 6 feet into the ground. If Balor had not gotten injured perhaps it stood a better chance.
Owens reign was a joke, should have been the moment he was skyrocketed but all the attention was on Reigns, Rollins and even Jericho more so than Kevin.
Goldberg showed up to two shows as Universal champion IIRC. He should never have been champ.
And Lesnar is never around.
Meanwhile guys who should be carrying the red brand such as Joe, Balor, Rollins, Strowman, Wyatt, etc... aren't doing a damn thing because McMahon won't get over his hard on for Reigns vs. Lesnar until after Mania 34.

Yeah I enjoyed Lesnar being back but grew tired of him at the beginning of 2014. Even Heyman is boring to me now because he more or less repeats the same promo over and over! If he resigns I'll be as annoyed as I was when he resigned after WrestleMania 31

The belt looks like a fruit roll-up. Do you remember how when you were a kid, you'd make a title out of paper and cardboard and give it some stupid name like "Universal title"? Yeah, it's like that. The booking has been atrocious. First, they give it to an Irish cruiserweight with great abs to try to get the belt over because Finn was the hot thing at the time. It might have worked if it wasn't for that damn Seth Rollins... Then they give it to KO, who they then promptly went about trying to make us forget because ROLLINS! REIGNS! AMBROSE! JERICHO! Then they give it the human sweat waterfall, Oldberg. Brilliant move. Luckily, we only had to wait a month for...dun dun dun!!! BORK LAZER! Yay! Brock has defended the belt, what, three times since he won it in April? All so we can watch as super hugging over guys like Joe and Braun get steamrolled as we await Prince Roman's triumphant return to the throne of Kings. So, the belt, like the WWE, is a joke right now.
