I know the popular assumption is the return of the XFL (and that seems like the likeliest of scenarios), but I have to wonder if there is going to be some sort of attempt to buy the Panthers. There's few bragging cards for billionaires bigger than owning an NFL team.

Bring back the Memphis Maniaxxx so I can go back to the Liberty Bowl and sit in the freezing rain and watch them fumble the ball constantly.

Trump tried a football team called the New Jersey Generals which was a huge failure The man ran his casino out of business... How is that possible? B-b-b-but he am rich, dat mean he be the bestest! This must be Killary's fault somehow.

Vince sold just under 4.5 % of stock for $100 Million, XFL 2.0 is coming.

Why is Vince bringing this back? Was there a demand for it that I'm missing?? People hated it back then, what makes him think they will embrace it today? Is this further proof Vince is going senile?

Why do we need this? Didn't ESPN literally just do a special on how the XFL was like the biggest failure/joke/waste of money ever....or is McMahon such a right wing psycho Republican that, like Donald Trump ,he thinks the NFL is going to go out of business and the XFL will be the only source for football, or does he think he can take fans away from the NFL?
Vince McMahon seems like a real senile nut.

Let's face it a secondary football league in the US wouldn't work. It simply never works since the NFL overshadows it

Vince McMahon seems like a real senile nut. I think it's an ego thing. Vince clearly can't handle failure well. Just look at how he's handled WCW. He almost lost but won in the end and he still can't let that go. He bought WCW 16 years ago and he's been making bad decisions about the company for almost as long as it existed. I have no idea what he's going to do with the XFL but he's insane if he thinks he can take on the NFL. Maybe he could go after the Arena Football League...?

He's downright insane if he thinks he can compete with the NFL. His league flopped in 2001 it will flop in 2018.
Hey Vince instead of starting up a Football league how about you improve your own product?

I think the WWE Network is gonna be running XFL games and not just WWE wrestling product.
With Vince having his own TV station/online streaming site like the WWE Network, he doesn't need to worry about getting the XFL on normal TV and could just run the games on the Network.
Plus with all the different cable channels out now for sports, there is a good chance he could get the XFL on one of them. I know in Canada, we have like 5 or 6 TSN channels for sports. As well as a bunch of Sports Net channels. So it is possible to find airing time for the XFL if he does this.

He's done wonders with NXT...

Sounds nuts to me. Absolutely senile nut house to try this again IF that is what is happening.
The NFL is a $14 Billion a yr business. The USFL had stars and didn't make it.
The UFL is a recent failure. How many people ever heard of it? Let alone watched it. They had well known coaches and a few players I think.
People will not watch football just because it's football; see these crap bowl games.
It will fail unless it is some type of developmental league in conjunction with the NFL.

I think this is a bold move. The league originally failed because of how rushed it was and some miscues in the games Week 2 after a record breaking first week ratings wise.
The NFL uses so many elements Vince brought to the XFL as far as sideline mics, more players personalities showing, camera angles etc.
Check out the ESPN 30 for 30 if you haven't. It was destined to fail ultimately, but wow if only it had been planned out more in depth.

The NFL is in enough trouble every week with player safety, but this idiot thinks it'll be a good idea to bring back a football league where the coin toss was decided by two guys running head-first into each other at full speed? If Vince really does launch a football league again, it'll just be hysterical because there's no way it won't fail.
