Clash of Champions last night marked the end of PPVs in 2017, so which brand do you think put on the better PPVs? SmackDown dominated the votes last year (linked here)
I'll list the PPVs below incase anybody forgot. RAWFastlane Payback Extreme Rules Great Balls of Fire No Mercy TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs SmackDown LiveElimination Chamber Backlash Money in the Bank Battleground Hell in a Cell Clash of Champions

Quite the puzzle.
I enjoyed SDL because it was more unpredictable, even though the matches were meh. Didn't really like any of the Jinder Matches where he was champion. Only thing that got me hooked was wondering who would finally take the titles off him. New Day v. Usos were gold though. Enjoyed watching AJ and Owens in anything. Other than them, the workrate wasn't really there this year.
I didn't really enjoy Raw because it was too predictable. But, I felt like the storylines were better. I wasn't annoyed with who was getting pushed so it made the shows better to watch. Plus the Bar, Shield, Miz, Joe, and Braun all shined.
I think for me it comes down to whether what I was watching made me suspend my disbelief. Yes, it was cool to see various spots on Raw, but I knew the outcomes ahead of time just because the goal is to keep Brock with the title and keep Roman near the top for his Mania match. So I'll go with SDL since most matches had me wondering what was going to happen.

I thought Smackdown's Elimination Chamber was a solid PPV back in February.
But it seemed that after Wrestlemania, I felt the Raw PPV events were better than the Smackdown ones.
However, in 2016 after the draft and the brand split, I felt Smackdown dominated every PPV over Raw.

I voted for SDL because their PPV's usually advanced storylines in a cohesive way. Raw was the same stuff you'd see on weekly tv and was often convoluted.

It's such a hard choice.
RAW held probably the worst PPV I've ever seen with Fastlane. Maybe I need to give it a rewatch to appreciate it, but I remember being so disappointed with it at the time. However, No Mercy and TLC were both pretty good. The rest were solid, albeit unmemorable.
On the other hand, SmackDown Live's PPVs always felt disappointing because of the Jinder Mahal experiment, which kind of ruined them.
I think I'll give it to RAW.

Which would you vote for: Being punched in the face or kicked in the balls?

Smackdown Live ten fold, while I do like Brock Lesnar and his championship reign, you can definitely tell he's phoning it in till he can leave

Jinder Mahal main evented some of Smackdown's shows, and was involved in the WWE title match in all but one of them. So, Raw automatically wins by default.

Elimination Chamber was good enough to eclipse the others

To me, Raw won the year. Reigns vs. Strowman was a surprise hit, Joe was unleashed in the summer as a big player against Lesnar, Shield reuniting, Angle returning, The Bar, Alexa Bliss, etc... The only detractors to me were the mishandling of Finn Balor and the crummy storyline of Jason Jordan being Kurts illegitimate son.
SD really struggled this year, I truly believe someone after the split saw that Smackdown was kicking the piss out of Raw and decided to rob basically all of their talent. Jinder as champion for 7 months was beyond brutal, Natalya as womens champ was a close second, Zigglers character fell from stardom even farther, Corbin start and stopped with his push, Roode hasn't done anything memorable, Zayn continued to do nothing until recent, Harper is now in a tag team called the bludgeon brothers, Rusev was buried again by Cena, and seeing Shane McMahon involved in every storyline of the year was too much.
The only saving grace for Smackdown to me was AJ Styles and the Tag Division. Usos are reviving tag team wrestling single handedly and New Day, Breezango, and Gable/Benjamin all have been a big hand in that.

Which would you vote for: Being punched in the face or kicked in the balls? If you’re a BDSM fan like myself, this is difficult. Great Balls of Fire gives Raw the win for me.

Neither. Raw over did the pre show matches and Smacdown just felt like XL events rather than PPV's.

I want to vote for NXT: TakeOver network specials.
Since I can't, I voted for SmackDown because AJ Styles > everyone else, particularly a part-timer holding the Universal championship hostage (I actually like Brock Lesnar, just not as champion) and the never ending mega push of Roman Reigns.
Honestly, the best Raw PPV match I can remember from the past year featured SmackDown Live star AJ Styles flying halfway around the world to sub for Bray Wyatt vs Finn Balor. That just about sums the year up for me.

I enjoyed Payback, GBOF, and TLC to a degree so I'll go with RAW. Most of the SD PPVs had killer Tag matches though, but were flat pretty much everywhere else. For a bonus, out of the big 4, I'll probably go with Summerslam as the best, with Survivor Series slightly behind. Royal Rumble and WrestleMania ing sucked this year.

I think every show has pros and cons. I never think any show is horrendous but none are perfect either. All that being said, I gotta give the edge to RAW. I think they utilize their roster depth a bit better. Plus talent Like Braun, Shield, Joe, Balor, & Bar have been delivering lately.

RAW had Fastlane, so that already gives them the loss. To go into more detail though, RAW had Roman’s reign of terror for the first nine months, Brock not showing up for half of them, Owens being made to look like a b*tch against Goldberg, The RAW womens’ title flipping between Sasha and Alexa for no reason, both Joe/Lesnar AND Strowman/Lesnar being huge letdowns, and so many more moments that made the majority of its PPVs abysmal. Raw’s shows were so bad, SmackDown just wins by default. The only real complaints I have for SDL are the US title changing so frequently and Naomi/Lana.
