I know. This has been beaten to death. But I thought I’d post regardless, since Bryan posted an “interesting” update:
“I assume that if I don’t wrestle by WrestleMania, I probably won’t be wrestling with WWE at all,” said Bryan. “That’s my assumption.”
...
“It’s not a black and white answer,” said Bryan. “There are a lot of issues with me getting cleared by WWE. They have a very strict protocol, which is a good thing, but the timeline of all that happening was not the best for me. It’s an interesting situation that will develop.”

Imagine Bryan wins the Rumble setting up Bryan vs AJ for the title at Mania, they gotta do something to trump Jericho vs Omega and that would be it.

If anything, we get Bryan vs. Shane or my prediction... Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn... and that’s a BIG if. I don’t see Bryan wrestling in the WWE again.

It’s been almost 2 years since he had to announce his retirement so I’m pretty much unbothered whether he wrestles or not. If he does then have him do something with Shane, KO & Zayn. No way would I like to see Bryan/AJ over AJ/Nakamura at WrestleMania.

They won't ever clear him, no matter how many other doctors do. I fully expect him to leave when his contract is up later this year.

Either way I don’t see him fully leaving WWE. Being married to Brie, he’s pretty much WWE royalty right now and I feel like they’d bend over backwards to keep him in some capacity.
If they don’t let him wrestle and he’s determined to wrestle, maybe they work out a non-exclusive deal where he’s still involved with WWE as a personality, but he’s allowed to wrestle elsewhere.

I said in the SD thread, IF by chance they do let Bryan return, that they turn it into a storyline. Something along the lines that Triple H, Stephanie, Shane, & Vince faked Bryan's medical records. Forcing him to retire. Once he finds out, he signs himself to a guaranteed contract and messes with them in his revenge angle. Booger Red then suggested that the incriminating evidence is in the lock box Shane brought up when he returned.

Isn’t remembering fun?

I assumed the angle he's involved in with Shane "Look At Me" McMahon over on SD will be the door for Bryan's exit from WWE, not his in-ring return for them. Either he turns full-blown heel (if he isn't meant to be already), or he ends up looking like a jackass when Kev & Sami stab him in the back (which will make "you-know-who" right all along), and Bryan will be fired or will relinquish his duties. Even though I believe the real story SHOULD be about Shane looking deep inside himself and realizing his own faults, we all know who the fall guy will be: everyone else except a McMahon.

I honestly don’t have any desire to see him wrestle again. If he does, good for him. I was never a fan.
