the Mattel Raw ring is not worth $100 even with the inclusion of a Goldberg figure with $100 you could get the WCT Raw ring for $57 and a package deal of ringskirts for $4 The WCT is also garbage compared to the Main Event ring in terms of quality and how it’s made. It’s not even close. can you honestly justify using $200+ dollars to turn a mediocre product into a semi-decent product? Even if you get the rings on clearance, these have glaring issues that makes it hard to spend $100 plus S+H let alone $200 to make it semi-passable this is what Bandalero in the official fix up said verbatim about the Main Event Ring, he wouldn't even considered doing it if he didn't have a good deal on the 2 rings: Okay this is a bit of a different "fix-up" for me. If I didn't get an awesome deal on 2 RAW Main Event Rings (minus the Goldberg figures) I wouldn't even have considered it; but for the cost of a normal RAW Main Event ring, I was able to do this fix-up: a conversion to a WCW classic ring. With two rings you can put 2xB and 2xC parts together to by-pass the light-up gimmick and fused ring post(s). With some spacers/washers I was able to lift the posts so that the ropes are now at an acceptable height. And now for me this 20" x 20" ring is far more superior than an ASR/ESR!!! It's the perfect size for WWE Mattels. I wish I could have reused the yellow turnbuckles from the WCW basic ring, but they are molded on and don't clip off the posts, so I'm stuck with these black turnbuckles. I did paint over the WWE logos. the ASR is not perfect, but with how incredibly disappointing the Main Event ring is, is not a viable alternative, especially when the cheaper option exists his post with photos

Where did you pull that out of? I’m talking about engineering and construction. The main event ring is a far superior product, and is made much better than the rings made by WCT. Compared to the ME ring...the WCT rings are garbage.

If someone had to go through the trouble and cannibalize 2 Main Event rings to make what should have been a ring right from the get go is not a "superior" product, not a lot of people have $100+ to blow on trying to fix a ring with this many glaring issues especially when cheaper and better alternatives do exist (ex. JAKKs hardcore ring and the Real Scale Rings that JAKKs has produced, just to name a few)

I am talking about how the rings are made. Jakks and WCT’s efforts are absolute trash compared to the ME ring. It’s not even a matter of opinion. What’s the worst thing about the ME ring? The ropes are a little low? Just because some guys in their 30’s and 40’s can’t play with their toys the way they want to play with them....that doesn’t make the ME a bad product. you're calling me dense when you've been real gung-ho about a ring that has to be fixed, a ring that costs $100+; especially when cheaper alternatives do exist not to mention the JAKKs hardcore and Real Scale Rings are considered among by many to be fan favorites on this forum, does that mean everything who likes them are wrong? Actually, don't answer that as i've looked through your posts and 95% of them is just bitching at people for criticizing Mattel ever since they got the line, belittling their opinions and generally starting fights with users over the slightest difference in opinions

So I’m an old school collector who’s had all of the rings and I’d have to agree that the main event ring is better. It’s far better in terms of quality than the wKT one. Yes the ropes are low. But the ropes are tight which is an issue I’ve had with all the ropes I got for the wKT one. I’d also agree that it’s much better construction wise. I can move it across the room without worrying about it falling apart which I can’t say about the wKT ring.

My fix up has divided the masses In all seriousness; for me it comes down to DISplayability. The ASR/RSR are both too large, yes I get that it's "authentic" and true 1/12 scale or whatever to a an actual WWE ring but folks, if the turnbuckles don't have foam in them, or the ropes aren't actually cable, or the ring skirts aren't threaded to the mat in real life, who are we kidding about authenticity? It's a toy ring that is too big to display <-- fact. That's primarily the reason why I love the main event ring (post fix-up); it's a good display-size, I'd even love an 18"x18" ring to be honest. Sure I'd want the turnbuckle setup that the ASR has, but maybe version 2 of the ME will fix that and raise the ropes. If I didn't get a deal on two of them for the same price as retail I wouldn't even touch the ME. But I'm very happy with it, fixed up and in-hand.
