i mean i know its not really important in the big picutre, but watching RAW on anything but the USA network just feels......wrong/weird I saw a clip the other day from when they were on TNN, and it just felt wrong. Fox Sports employs idiots like Cowherd and Whitlock so I wouldn't want any show I want to be on their network. Weren't they on Spike for a bit as well?

As long as it doesn't end the brand split (I've not seen that indicated that it would, so I'm puzzled as to why so many people have mentioned it), I'd be all for it. SmackDown Live being 2 hours seems the perfect length. Long enough to entertain for a substantial period of time, but not too long to drag. Whereas RAW being 3 hours definitely does drag, even when it's a decent show.

I would venture to guess that WWE would have it in their contracts to not be preempted by other programs. I know that was a big push they had when they came back to USA was to not get booted for that stupid dog show. This will be the biggest hurdle in the whole deal. WWE doesn't ever want to be pre-empted by other programming, but FOX hauls in huge numbers for their sporting events. The ratings for the World Series alone are hard to dismiss. I love baseball. I understand some people don't, but even the LOWEST rated World Series in history (2012 - San Francisco/Detroit) averaged over 12 million viewers per game. Raw on its greatest day can't come close to that. I don't see FOX walking away from that kind of viewership. I do think the change to a national network like FOX would finally give the WWE a much-needed kick in the ass from a creative perspective. Because of that, I'm all for it. FOX pre-empts their regular programming for sports all the time. If they have Raw, most likely, they will put it on FS1 or FX when that happens.

Would be great news a a fan.Rumors are if FOX got the rights to WWE that RAW would be on FOX Monday nights for two hours every week, which finally kills the awful three hour block thats been going on for years, which most fans hate and would more then likely also end the brand split. Don't know if wrestling has ever been on prime time on one of the five major networks besides the special Saturday Night Main Events back in the day.Being on prime time I think the WWE would actually put some effort every week into making RAW interesting and fresh. Don't be so sure WWE would put in effort. Maybe the first couple of months, sure, but that'd be it. Don't give the monkeys in the truck too much credit. But I agree with everything else you've said though.

We've heard for awhile now that USA are the ones that pushed for WWE to add a third hour to RAW. And to WWE's credit, it's been getting better the last few months. So if they condensed that writing into two hours again, I think RAW's quality would definitely improve.

I'm all for a better, and shorter show.. especially if they have less time for fluff and uninspired stories, and the same time or more for wrestling, but I'd be worried about it cutting into the time for the women and mid card. Moreso for the women since they typically get, what 2 matches? One of which is usually a tag cluster f<*#?

If it does go ahead, and Raw gets preempted for baseball etc, I can see the WWE offering some sort of deal on the network. Half price for as long as it’s off air etc
They may get the writing wrong on occasion, but they do know how to money and to me, are still shrewd at spotting opportunities to rake in more.

I watch Fox Sports 1 all the time I heard Colin talking about going to Smackdown you could see him in the crowd. He took pictures with some of the divas. You can tell he is a company man, because he was always vocal about how much he hated it. Now he loves it and is talking about Gronk not being cut out for it. It's a total 360, but it seems like they are trying to get everybody into WWE. They would also be great for the impending return of the XFL. Fox Sports 1 and 2 could air games. It seems like a good business deal, but sad that they would leave USA Network. I wonder how Disney will impact it because they bought Fox, but unsure how it all works because I know ESPN has been covering Rhonda Rousey's WWE Debut and Wrestlemania. I feel like if that move helps it and you can get Raw on a 2 hour primetime slot on Fox from 8 to 10 or the old slot of 9 to 11 it would be great. Got to make sure you leave the run over so I can see it being 9 to 11 not to mess with any popular shows that could air after. Fox Sports 1 gets Smackdown. I don't know how it's going to effect the sports Fox covers on Fox Sports. They would lose UFC so I could see some other WWE programming coming on since all they show is UFC/Nascar/Soccer so that could be great. It would be interesting to see.

I really hope that this goes through. Being on a new network, especially one of the major cable networks, one would hope it pushes them towards better and edgier programming. My only fear is that matches will become an afterthought and many people will go to the unemployment line.
I would love to see a RAW preshow on the Network from 7:30-9PM and have that lead in to RAW on FOX 9-11PM. They could also roll out Smackdown 9-11PM as well.

Something interesting that I don't think anyone has brought up yet: Fox's UFC deal is coming up soon and the rumor is that Fox wants to drop them in favor of WWE. If it's true, I think that is pretty big news.

Anybody else immediately think that this was about Alicia Fox for some reason? Anyone? No?
