There will always be innovation. Exactly. I'm sure people said the same thing during the last generation of wrestlers. The new generations will always put their spin on everything.

All stand up strikes and dirty boxing against the ropes for the entirety of a match would be different. Make it Brawl for All, but worked. They could also stand to do without the pauses where one of the wrestlers plays to the crowd at a distance from his opponent. The two fighters should stay on each other the entire match. And stop holding your head in disbelief when there’s a kick out at two. Get back on him. Actually, there probably needs to be an intervention with the wrestlers and trainers. AJ’s the best at making it look realistic, but the majority of WWE matches look incredibly fake right now. I also hate how every wrestler falls for a certain move like for example at Fastlane, Sami Zayn ran at John Cena then Cena gave him an AA, so every other wrestler (apart from AJ) in the match decided to try the exact same thing.

At the very least, you'll likely see things that haven't been done for years. WHen was the last time you saw someone counter a back super-plex into a leg drop? I only discovered it a few days ago, and it was in a match that happened in ECW between RVD and Storm. Storm went to do a back super-plex and RVD did flip over as Lance came crashing down. As soon as RVD landed he did his rotating leg drop on Storm who crashed down a few seconds ago. If someone did that today, we'd be going nuts over it.
Ace Crusher was innovated, and DDP and then Randy took it to the next level by doing it so you never see it coming and then by doing it outta nowhere, respectively.
You had the Rock turn an elbow drop into something must see. You had a goofball do a dance move into a tomahawk chop and make it something that still gets a pop today. Wrestlers will put a spin on it.
Storyline wise, it's all been done. But everything can be spun and altered.
