With the recent announcement of Toys R Us closing I made sure to get to my nearest one in Sioux Falls with my son. While there I found myself talking to him about my 25+ years of collecting and my fondest memories but also of all the figures I didn't buy and kick myself now for not getting them. Most recently the figures I regret most are the elite Diesel and Nash, Kane from the early elite sets, elite series 1-3, WM 8 Macho, and various Defining Moments figs. Around the time Mattel gained the license I was trying to cut back my collecting and didn't get many of them because I had the classic Jakks versions. The biggest regret to date though would have to be not getting the Hasbro Green Cards when seeing them at my local Shopko. Being the typical 12 year old at the time I was caught between being in the to old for toys phase. Now some 20 years later I'm still trying to get them to complete my collection and I cringe knowing what it's going to take. Sorry if this has been posted, but I didn't see anything when searching.

I pretty much grab everything I really want. Kinda bummed I didn’t grab the other 3 fan central elites when I got HHH. Only one of 3 TRUs by me put them out before they started sending stuff back. Glad I got a Triple H though. Only kinda wanted a modern Big Show, wished Henry had braids, and I have WM3 Heenan so I’ll live if I can’t get the more common look.

Network Spotlight Michaels. This was during the time where I had a small break with collecting elites, I had to pay scalper prices months later.

B29 Ultimate Warrior is one that I saw on the pegs once, but back then I was only looking for B28 Sandow or Tensai, so I left it. A great figure. It hurts me that I passed on the WM32 Basic Eddie Guerrero (a re-release of his B29 fig, coincidentally), there were other wants I purchased instead that day and didn't know he would vanish from shelves so quickly. And seeing as how Mattel refuses to release another RA Eddie (seriously why, Mattel?), that makes the sting worse. Also had a chance to order a B56 Naomi (my favorite fig of her to date) online, but sat on that one too long.
This will sound kinda odd, but I've been regretting my decision to pass on E33 Cesaro. As many times as I saw multiples of it on pegs for literally months in 2015, going well into 2016, I always walked away saving my money for something else. While I kept waiting for it to be clearanced, they had all been sold. I really liked the trophy (that has only recently been rereleased with the TRU Show) and while the B&W Real American attire was always a bore, it would have suited my lazy Shibata custom a lot better than the Cesaro Elite body I currently have.

DM Series 1. Mainly cuz the prices were insane when they first came out. $39.99 or 49.99 CAD.

When The K Mart down the street was going out of business a few years ago, they had 10+ of each of the defining moments Macho Man, HBK, and Triple H clearanced all the way down to $7....big mistake not picking up atleast one of each.. On a side note, K Mart was always great in stocking the original legends series. Today it's a nightmare finding figures.

Hillbilly Jim. I had zero need for a toy collection at the time but nostalgia always makes you pause. I pulled him off the shelf, heard him sing in my head “Don’t Go Messin’ With a Country Boy” and I agreed with that and put it back. This is a true story. Now I really need him to assemble my WMIII roster.

I buy anything I want when I see it 99% of the time. I'd say the last time I'm passed something and never saw it again and really wanted it later was the bp with Rey and sin cara.

Toys R Us - Network Spotlight HBK. So many memories of this Shawn because his Bone Crunching Series 1 was my first figure.
Target - No so much a figure, but the basic Hall of Fame ring and classic cage. I was waiting on it to go on clearance at Target for a few months then all of a sudden they were all gone.

More EG DiBiase, Undertaker, and Jericho when they were $5. Already had 1 each so didn’t need multiples at the time but the extra cloth accessories would come in handy now.
