Does the packaging of figures play a part in whether or not you buy it? For me, Warrior is why I got into wrestling to begin with but I really wish they would use different pictures of him on the packaging instead of the typical green tights and pink, black, green makeup in the flexing pose. It especially annoys me when they use that pick and change the colors. I still buy everything Warrior though. There have been times though being mainly a MOC collector that I have passed on figures if I didn't like the packaging or picture they use.

Its cardboard to me. I could care less if Bill came in the studio and used crayons to draw each wrestler on plain brown recycled cardboard.

I wish there was an option to buy directly from Mattel or a vendor without packaging.

I won’t buy a figure just for the packaging. But I might get a second when I otherwise wouldn’t just because of the box

I wonder how much it takes up for the budget or if it has it's own budget. I really care for packaging, sometimes less is better.

I'd be OK with Elites being packaged like Basics because I couldn't care less about the packaging.

I wonder how much it takes up for the budget or if it has it's own budget. I really care for packaging, sometimes less is better. I'm sure it's factored into the overall budget of the figure or wave. If it's just an in house designer whipping up some different color schemes the cost is probably minimal. But I think Bill said the design, cutouts, and packaging on DMs added a few dollars of cost per figure.

I don’t really care about the package as I am a loose collector. (Unless I buy a second to get it signed) And the only card/pic I didn’t like was the one used for the basic Starrcade ‘90 Sting. (B62) That photo was horrendous.

It matters less than zero. I rip em up and toss em out anyway.

They’re cool and all but at the end of the day I open the figures, and throw out the package. It’s appealing to the eye, but it’s not why I buy the figures. Idc what the package looks like as long as the figures are qualify.

The packaging wouldn’t make me NOT want to buy a figure I want, but it could make me WANT to buy something I wasn’t really sure about getting. Like the RetroFest figures, wasn’t really worried about them until we saw MOC pics.

Very important. I always look at both when I'm buying. I mean yes the figure is the main priority but the packaging has to be cool. So a great figure and cool packaging. Warrior figures by Mattel are amazing. The figures and packages combined. Especially the rare warriors. Jakks Pacific sucked big time on warrior packages. The very rare one's. They couldn't be bothered designing a box worthy of the figures.

As a Retros only collector - very important. I’d probably go as far as to say that designing the packaging to match the Hasbros was what tipped the balance for me investing in the line. When I was a kid buying the Hasbros of course then the packaging didn’t matter much at all, and I’d still say that the budget should go on the figure rather than the packaging, but if the market you’re aiming for is based off the nostalgia element like the Retro line is then the packaging is important - certainly important enough not to butcher it with some stupidly inappropriate App monstrosity, for example...

I tear it open, and flatten it into a trash can outside the store usually.

Loose collector, less packaging equals cheaper shipping to Australia.

Very important, I've left great figs on the shelf cuz of damaged packaging.

I dont care about the packaging, but I wish they would make better packaging for Elites that make it harder to steal belts or do switcheroos.

As important as a mars bar wrapper
As long as it is not overly big wasting materials and the majority if not all can be recycled then I'm happy
We rip open the boxes as soon as we get home
