Has anybody here ever been to any of the live showings and sat in front of the barricades around the ring? On TV it looks very cushioned like jumping Onto a mattress . I've always wondered if they are soft like futtons and the wrestlers are selling it like it hurts when they get slammed into it? Or is it actually hard like a table?

You know like in gym class in school the padding on the walls, I would think thats what it feels like. This old barricade was the worst though. This was actual cushion on the top and should never hurt anybody

They’re not super soft, but still better than a metal Barricade.

Yeah the basketball padding is probably the best comparison. I feel like being slammed into it would still hurt like a bitch though.

They’re soft but like everything WWE has ringside, it’s built to last. The structure underneath the padding is metal. The first time I got into a WWE ring it was surprisingly soft. The handlers I guess could see my expression and told me not to try it lol. The thought of falling back on it did cross my mind. I would assume it’s the repeated falling on it that takes it toll. Edit: photo of me in the ring.
