If every joint PPV now means we get almost 4 hours of PPV action then..... go back to brand only PPVs please!
Most people work Monday morning. They don't need to stay up till 11:30 for a non-special PPV like Backlash.
That Elias segment took too long, they could have scratched that completely and had the PPV end around 11 pm. That would have worked perfectly!

Outside of Miz/Rollins, this was a tough one to get through.

if they want to make these PPVs so long then they should seriously change the format and just start at 7PM. it really wouldnt be that difficult and it would allow them extra time to where they could end at 10:30 and its still 3h30m like tonight, but it just feels less sleep inducing.
look we all love wrestling, we love watching wrestling. its not about that.
its about the fact we get 5(+) hours of TV every week, plus an hour of NXT and and hour of 205 if you're really watching all the new stuff. now you're adding almost 4 hours of PPV every month
just push it back an hour. start the PPV at 7, pre-show at 6:30....and everyone would be completely fine with that.

Miz/Rollins was literally the only match worth watching on this show. The rest was just TV formula stuff with nothing special or memorable attached.
then they choose to put Roman in the main event, in a match with almost no storyline, no purpose and no real endgame....and they book the longest, most boring match in history. you're seriously booking a 25 minute main event with rest holds STARTING 10 minutes AFTER a normal PPV would end.
its ridiculous. they have got to start listening to their audience more. you can only push people so far, everything's great now because they are making money and selling out ppvs in other countries, getting all these social media followers, etc.
but your selling these events and the crowds are falling asleep and leaving because they are too long and start too late for them to be this long.

Tyson Kidd has apparently been the producer behind the last few awesome Rollins matches, including tonight's classic with Miz

i seriously cannot believe this company had the balls to put the ing WWE Championship match in the middle of a card and close the PPV with a tag match followed by a Reigns match its truly unbelievable at this point. the disrespect they have been showing THEIR TITLE is sickening. they wouldn't be here if it wasn't for that championship, yet because Brock has the stupid big red belt suddenly its the most important thing? they should have kept the WWE title on RAW and made the Universal Championship blue strapped. Its ing ridiculous. You have one of the single best wrestling talents that has ever walked through this company's door holding the most prestigious championship in the HISTORY OF THE BUSINESS....but he's just thrown in at random spots, and is mainly an afterthought

One thing I have to say about this PPV is how horrible the crowd was. How much of a scumbag do you have to be to boo anti-bullying? The fact that the crowd booed Nia's antibullying speech was just shameful. The promo wasn't great, but that's no excuse. I don't care if you're a fan of Nia or not, no one should be in support of bullying. I saw the excuse of "they're not booing her or antibullying, they're booing WWE's hypocrisy". No. They booed a speech about antibullying. If being pro bullying wasn't their intent, they went the wrong way about it. In this case, two wrongs don't make a right. Even if for some bizarre reason you're a person that doesn't appreciate positive messages, the least you could do is not boo an anti bullying message. By booing Nia's anti bullying speech, they essentially sent across the message that they are pro bullying, which is awful. Anyone who follows Nia's social media, you can see that Nia is all about spreading a positive message, and is unquestionably anti bullying. The fact that the crowd was happy to boo not only such a positive message, but also one that was genuine and heartfelt, is just atrocious. The crowd should be ashamed of themselves. Anyone who booed that speech is a scumbag.

Which is a really sad statement about a card that features Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Samoa Joe. I never, ever defend Chip ever. I not only am going to defend his comments on crappy booking, I'll one up them. The Bryan ending was fine. Seth and Miz was MotN as expected. But good God. This show is GAB 2008 levels of bad. Not quite December to Dismember, but that's its own special circle of hell.

The main championship is supposed to be the entire reason anyone gets in to wrestling...to be the champion. but in effect this company is now telling us that all you have to be is Samoan and wear a vest and you get to close out multiple shows in a row even if your match has zero story, zero build and zero outcome. this is like Punk's title reign all over again where he never main evented a ing PPV, instead Cena got all the closing spots with terrible storylines including closing a show versus JOHNNY ACE

It's almost like we're regressing...when we have the deepest talent pool arguably ever. Are any of them draws like Rock and Austin? Nah. No one will ever be. But ya know, for the Era we are in now they're the best in the world. Roman Reigns. Seth Rollins. The Miz. Daniel Bryan. Jeff Hardy. KO. Sami Zayn. Samoa Joe. Bobby Roode. Elias. Shinsuke Nakamura. Braun Strowman. Bobby Lashley. Charlotte. Asuka. Ruby Riott. Shell of Wyatt. Usos. New Day. Broken Matt. John Cena when around. Dean Ambrose when healthy. AJ Styles. Hell, despite the hate, I'll throw in Jinder Mahal and Ronda Rousey. This talent pool...it's God damn insane right now. And we get...this. It's just...depressing.

i just realized this show mirrors Over the Limit 2012....where you had Punk & Bryan in a feud for the WWE title that was literally the thing every wrestling fan at the time ever wanted to see (a punk/bryan feud in the wwe for the wwe title)
and it placed 3rd to last on the card behind a 54 second ryback vs camacho squash and the main event of cena vs. laurinaitis
the funny thing about that show too...it was a "co-brand" PPV, with 9 matches on the main card (1 of which included a 20-man battle royal) and the total match length was less than 2 hours.

Brock Lesnar has the Universal title held hostage shows up once every other motnh, So lets treat the ing WWE championship like a ing mid card belt and put Roman Reigns in a throwaway match against Smackdown's Joe to close the ing show. WWE has lost the plot. They really have. This company just doesnt have it anymore. I truly think Vince is trying to kill it before he dies so there is nothing left after he is gone. That shot of the fans walking out should tell the whole story but it probably wont, Vince will probably be like "well the show is over anyways".

Rollins and Miz was good. Rest of the card wasn't anything special. I really want Brock to drop the title so it can be featured on more ppvs.

Made it home from Backlash. This PPV sucked! Negative 5 stars to Roman vs Joe (and I love Joe) The match made the crowd restless and I can't believe I sat through whole thing. My section started the "Beat the Traffic" chant, Cool that I hear it was heard on TV, there were others that didn't stick that were good. I honestly think WWE is trying to make me hate wrestling. The Nakamura and AJ match was going good until they ed us over with that bullcrap finish. After that match I was done, it felt like I got kicked in the balls. I'm done giving my money to this product. BTW for all those who complain about the crowd sucking and that never went to a show in NJ before - NJ crowds are usually lively, but tonight was just not worth it.

i actually didnt mind the AJ/Nak finish because it gives them a reason to continue the feud. wrestling needs something like this with 2 guys feuding over a title for longer than a month. and they havent wrestled each other 15 times in tag matches over the last 2 months either.
the finish gives both guys a reason to go again and it will probably be a last-man-standing match this time
they arent having terrible matches, they are just having average matches imo, but its better than nothing. my only problem is if they arent putting the title on Nak this is going to be a huge waste. you gotta give the belt to him and let him have at least a short run with it. as great as AJ is, there are a zillion ways to go with him.
give Nak the belt at the next PPV, let him run with it until Summerslam and have a fatal 4 way with Nak/Joe/AJ/Bryan....if you want to give it back to AJ, to feud with Joe...fine...and then you can have Nak vs Bryan...that should take you through the next few months
so your top 4 guys on SD are AJ, Bryan, Nak & Joe. its a perfect balance and keeps everyone happy.

Exactly. On another note, I really want to take a break from wrestling, because it truly isn't as enjoyable anymore. I know having said that, I'll more than likely find myself tuning back into it quickly, because I fell in love with wrestling for a reason and, it's hard to not want to watch. The product is so bad right now, that despite the 1 great match we get every now and again, the rest of the show just being trash almost overshadows the little bit of good that there is. I don't see how that old man can't get his head out of Reigns a$s and realize that no one wants to see baby face reigns in the main events. Hell, at this point I wouldnt care if he turned heel and was in the main events, because he has been forced on us just because of the hard on that Vince has for him. Unless Vince dies soon, or somehow realizes that he's running his on company down hill (people left during he main ever tonight, if thats boys a sign that your program isn't clicking with the audience then I don't know what is) then I feel like we are going to watch Vince deplete his product a significant amount. If the current trend continues with everyone taking a back seat to Reigns, triple H is going to have his work cut out for him whenever he is given control because he's going to have to re-legitimize all the guys that had to put Roman over just because Vince wanted to get off to having reigns pegged as his "top guy" when in reality he is never going to be that because it isn't what the fans want.
