The Seth Rollins collection continues to grow with the addition of the final 3 Elites i needed for a good Rollins timeline. I started the year off with 1 Seth figure, being his Shield elite, and now i've ended up with 9 and even more once his new attires get made into Elites. There's just something about his attires that are always great and as long as he continues to make new attires, i'll keep buying their Elites.
It may sound stupid, but i was hesitant on pre-ordering the SummerSlam Seth out of the small chance it could've been a Shield Reuinion attire. Thankfully it was actually his SummerSlam attire and once again, this fails to disappoint. The detail on the attire, even though there isn't much, it's done perfectly. The red and black work great together and there's no paint flaws (which is surprising today), the vest is even done perfect which is nice because most reviews of this figure i've seen, the vest has some sort of smudge or really off putting paint flaw. The face features the new printing technology and out of the 'Hit or Miss' these new faces have, this one is definitely a hit. The beard is done really well and looks great, the eyes look good although my only issue with that is he looks a bit off to the side, but it's still good nonetheless, and thankfully they used this good new face scan instead of the screaming one which i'm not a fan of.
My only real issues with this would be the eye that looks off to the side (which isn't a big deal) and his right arm was pretty stiff when i opened him (loosened up a bit not so it's fine)
I never really planned on getting the NXT Seth as it just wasn't really a big want of mine, so when i actually decided to try find one, unsurprisingly they were all expensive as hell which killed all the want i had for it. So i gave up for a hwile before looking again and strangely enough, when i looked him up on Ebay as "NXT Seth Rollins" they were expensive, but when i typed "WWE NXT Seth Rollins Elite" there were about 4 or 5 that were for a good price, so i finally pulled the trigger and got him. Once he arrived, i was a lot more impressed in person with this Seth than pics i saw of it. The attire is great and has loads of detail, especially his left boot with the birds on it. The boots that caused a bit of controversy... While kickpads would have been great, these ones aren't too bad and you really don't notice the style of them unless you're focused on it. The face is done great with the blonde streak again (kind of miss that). The body, while a little too jacked for Seth at this time, still looks good and isn't that bad honestly.
Only issue with this one is the waist is a bit loose but who cares when you're just posing it.
And finally, the Seth Rollins figure i've been dying to have for so long now. As 'okay' as 2016 WWE was, there's just something about it that always had me like it more than other years, especially around mid year and Seth in this attire is basically my first thought when i think 2016 (as Gojira's Magma album plays in my head). I don't know why i didn't get this Seth when it came out but similar to the NXT Seth, when i actually decided to get one, they were all expensive as hell, and just like NXT Seth, i simple search with extra words found me some cheaper ones. Now here's what bugs me, when i was searching i found ones that were cheap but had paint issues, then expensive ones with no paint issues, and there i found this one... It was a good price and the picture had no paint issues, so i thought "Awesome, i'll get this one", it arrives today and as you can see in the pic, a noticeable, ugly paint flaw. Basically, the one in the pic wasn't this one, but i said to myself it's fine, at least it's on the black part so i can colour it in. That aside, from the neck down, this is definitely my favourite Seth figure because of this attire. It's so simple with just black and grey but it looks great and perfectly represents a time where Seth truly felt like WWE's biggest star. The logo on the side of his attire is smooth and clean with no issue as well as the boots and other areas on the tights. The wrist bands are one of my favourite things about this figure, the detail they got in such a small space is done perfectly and adds to the look of this Seth.
Now, when i said i liked this Seth the neck down, it's not because i 'hate' this head, it's just my least preferred headscan for Seth, i don't know what it is but i just can't come to really like it, it's okay, just not great. So i'll be searching for a cheap basic 71 (i think) with the smiling face (my favourite scan) to swap, and once i get around to that, this Seth will probably be one of my top 5 favourites in my whole collection. The joints on this Seth are all perfect with no loose or stiff joints which is great.
Only issues with this Seth are the head (which isn't really an issue, just me being picky) and THAT GOD DAMN PAINT FLAW, thankfully though a pen i had was able to fix it perfectly (as long as it doesn't get touched).
There it is, my Elite Rollins collection is complete (For now) and considering it's getting pretty crowded in there, i don't know how i'm going to fit Flame Seth, WM34 Seth and Black tights with 'SR' kneepad Seth in there some day.
Thanks for looking.
